    ageofanalyticz.com aims to provide interactive data visualization for the Aoe2 community to provide players with insights on Age of Empires 2 civilizations and maps in general and at the individual level.

    As part of the ageofanalyticz.com initial release, over 4 million ranked matches from the top 48000 player profiles on the leaderboard have been compiled and analyzed as the initial dataset. Processes have been put in place to update the data on a daily basis to keep things up to date.

    On the initial data set, two interactive scatter plot charts have been implemented to bring a visual on how the civs ranked up to each other. The two key metrics of interest are win rate and number of matches played, broken down by civilization, map type and player elo. The scatter plots are displayed at the individual player level, under the 'Players' tab in the website navbar and for the data as a whole, using the entire dataset, under the 'Global' tab.

    In the 'Players' tab, a text box in provided to input player names, followed by a dropdown for the option to select the map type. A section above scatterplot displays the player profile including the player's Steam id, current leaderboard ranking, elo, country of origin and games played. Please note that there might be discrepancies between what is displayed as the number of games played and the total sum of matches in the scatterplot as they do not relate to each other.

    In the 'Global' tab, a dropdown is provided for the option to select the elo range followed by a dropdown for selecting the map type. Please note that matches from players no longer on the leaderboard are not accounted for.

    Wie läuft die Bundesliga ab?

    - Die Größe und Anzahl der Ligen können wir erst bestimmen, wenn die Anmeldung fertig ist, wir versuchen aber einen „cut" bei ca. 10 Spielern pro Liga zu machen

    - Laufzeit jeweils ca. 10 Wochen Hin- bzw. Rückrunde + 1 Woche Relegation

    Ihr werdet eine Begegnung pro Woche haben, diese werdet ihr mit eurem Gegner selbstständig organisieren. Die Ergebnisse werden jeweils selbstständig in der Tabelle eingetragen.

    Es werden pro Begegnung 2 Spiele gespielt. -> Das macht ein Unentschieden möglich!

    Die Wahl der Zivilisation ist frei und unterliegt keinerlei Beschränkungen.

    Jeder Spieler wählt seine Karte aus einem noch festzulgenden Karten-Pool aus, der Underdog beginnt. Sollte der Gegner die ausgewählte Karte nicht kennen, so wird ihm eine 15 minütige „Beratungspause" gewährt. Beim 2vs2 wird der Kartenpool des 2v2 World Cup von T90 genutzt und der Kartenpool für das 1v1 Turnier wird sich an Hidden Cup und Red Bull Wololo orientieren. Genauere Informationen folgen.

    Es wird eine Hin- und eine Rückrunde geben + Relegation. Der erste aus jeder Liga, steigt sicher in die nächst höhere Liga auf. Platz 2 spielt jeweils mit dem Vorletzten aus der nächst höheren Liga, der Letzte steigt sicher ab.

    Lobby-Einstellungen für ein Match

    Beim Erstellen der Lobby: Völker ausgeblendet, 5 Minuten Delay

    In der Lobby: Standard-Einstellungen, normale Geschwindigkeit, Cheats aus, ...

    Wir werden jeden Samstag um 20:15 Uhr, 2 Begegnungen auf Twitch übertragen, nach Möglichkeit gerne Live. Kommt daher gern auf uns zu, falls ihr zu dieser Zeit spielen werdet.

    Ansonsten seid ihr gefragt! Ihr hattet eine Begegnung die ihr einfach großartig fandet? Oder es ist etwas Witziges/Unfassbares passiert? Schickt uns eure Replays und wir werden das Spiel casten und über unseren Twitch-Kanal streamen!

    Hi everyone,

    I'd like to start playing AOE2. I'm a diamond player in Starctaft 2 if that matters.

    What is the best resource for build orders (no videos please, text only);

    What the difference between every civilization and is there a better suited one for new players;

    Which build order would you recommend that I practice first;

    Any tips and tricks regarding keybinds?

    It's fun to confidently guess all the player identities in HC4. A more difficult game is accurately pointing out where there's real uncertainty. In this game, you need to guess each player in HC4 and give an accurate probability you think you are right, as in the table below:

    Your guesses after the tournament will be awarded a Brier Score, a brilliant invention which has the highest expected value when you assign a probability correctly. Of course, it rewards correct guesses with high confidence more than correct guesses with low confidence. But it will correspondingly punish you for being confidently wrong. For instance, increasing your confidence from 90% to 91% will gain you 0.2 points if you're right, but lose you 1.8 points if you're wrong, so it only makes sense to make that increase if you are actually at least 91% sure.
