    So, after this topic came up in a thread, i did some testing today. I used two laptops and played one FFA game with unlocked teams and one team game with the same settings. So, for the FFA game, it's rather straight forward - it just doesn't work. If you set another person as ally and the other one does so too, you still won't be able to send team shipments. To be more precise, you can send them, but only the initial sender receives the shipment, whether it's a unit upgrade or units/resources. It just doesn't work.

    For team games however, things are a bit different. Basically, it is the opposite of the FFA situation. Team shipments work.... ALL THE TIME. Every kind of shipments comes through, if your initial team member sends it. If you set the to enemy, that doesn't change. You still get their shipments, No matter if only one is set on enemy or if it is set for both players.

    Now this is nothing special, but i just wanted to get this stuff out there, just in case anybody finds it interesting/useful. If there are questions as to how i tested it, just ask away.

    Looking for a lost scenario

    Hello guys ! I recently started playing this game again after a few years off and i cant find a certain scenario that i used to play and like a lot.

    It was a collosseum map with asian units. The end stages were howdah, gatling gun, ninja, a bunch of mercenaries like ronin ...

    I think it was called nighttactics collosseum or something like that but i cant find anyone talking about it online ... it would be awsome if someone still had it somewhere in its computer ...

    Wars of liberty download if you are playing Age of Empires III through porting kit on Mac?

    How do you download the WoL mod if you are playing age of empires III on Mac using porting kit? Also if you download the WoL mod, can you still play the vanilla version of AoEIII?

    Ao3 3 and CPU performance

    My main question is about AoE 3's use of a pc's CPU. As far as i know, it uses 1 (and a half) core for all its computations, meaning that while playing, one core will be at 100% and another one at around 30-50 while all the other cores stay basically idle. My laptop has a 6 core cpu with boost speed up to 4 ghz, which it can maintain all the time. But my game still gets laggy, even if i am playing against one A.I. (meaning that my fps drop to around 40 fps sometimes). Please correct me if I am wrong so far.

    After some researching I basically found no solution to this performance issue, other than "this game is badly optimised for processors with multiple cores" which is fairly true, given its age. Some people also claim that deactivating hyperthreading helps a lot with performance, but since I can't disable that in my BIOS, that option isn't really useful.

    However, when playing a LAN Multiplayer game, this low FPS Problem doesn't exist and the connection between the participants is great, UNTIL one us gets owned and leaves after resigning. Then, lag (like from a bad connection) appears, making the game less enjoyable the more poeple leave. Why is this the case? I know the game runs PtP, so it runs on the machine of the host if I am not mistaken. But is the performance of the other Players somehow contributing to the game performance?

    tl;dr : How does the game use the CPU and what are "goto"-tips for performance improvement? Why becomes a LAN game laggier if people leave the game?
