| Posted: 20 Dec 2020 04:29 PM PST We both got the definitive edition yesterday, coming from the normal one and all of a sudden I'm losing most games. Which is weird because I was on a winning streak for the past few weeks. We play death match and neither of us pay online, just lan with eachother. He mains the British. I was playing ottomans, but have recently been playing the Swedish. The main reason I keep loosing is because he is playing more aggressively, and my economy is unable to reach a point where it can effectively deal with a sustained attack. Any help will be appreciated, whether it's how to counter, what civ to play or how to use resources better. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 20 Dec 2020 07:25 PM PST In the original, if someone lagged, the game just slowed down and would pause and play. In DE, it's way worse. If someone lags your entire screen constantly freezes for seconds at a time. causes so many misplays as you can't control units or eco. I understand if the game has to pause while someone "catches up". But why does it have to lock up everyone's screen? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 20 Dec 2020 08:57 AM PST Hello, I played the new winter wonderland on hard last night in a 2 v 2 as well as a 1 v 1. I noticed that the AI is doing crazy micromanagement now. They skirmish with skirmishes and move them away, build armies of heavy cavalry with skirmishers and artillery in the rear , and always re construct a massive army that stays at base to prevent raiding. I quick revolted and tried to raid to keep up the pressure but got shut down on all fronts as the ai went imperial making revolution (age 4 ) units useless. It took me 4 hours to finally win a stalemate. I think I could have broken it earlier but in a revolution, you're strapped for resources. Before this past patch, hard difficulty wasn't so hard if you baited the enemy with walls and raided. Anyone else noticing this? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 20 Dec 2020 10:18 AM PST Most if not all of my friends are drawn to battleroyale/ shooter games or whatever you find in the top charts of steam right now. Sadly no one of them plays strategic games like aoe 3. I started to play aoe 3 in multiplayer since DE came out and mainly treaty mode. Would like to play this gamemode togheter with likeminded people, even better if they share the same language as me. Of course english wouldnt be an issue either.
