    Can you give me some tips for Ottoman in 1vs1?

    I usually played Aztec in 1vs1 because of their cool units, Coyote and Eagle.(Although Eagle usually can't train).

    ​

    But recently I want use gunpowder especially musket that Aztec don't have, so I play Ottoman yesterday and today. They are good in early rush with Jani and Abuse real good, imo. Look good and good damage.

    ​

    But I really feel hard their poor eco and poor anti cav, especially goon.

    For example, Dutch have Sikms in 2 age, real good against Jani and in 3age, mass Ruyter real powerful.

    And in case of Lakota, Bowrider are real powerful.

    ​

    Can give some tips for Ottoman 1vs1 ?

    Help! I keep getting steamrollered by China

    Hello, a friend of mine recently convinced me to get into AOE 3, which while I've owned it for a some time is a game I never really played. I've had 14 matches with him so far, and every single one has been a slaughter. I count it lucky if I can get to rank 4. It's gotten to the point where he is straight up dominating me with meme builds like hordes of fire ships or hand mortars.

    I've tried everything with just about every competitive nation to no avail. No matter what I do he either overwhelms me militarily or economically. If I play Germany he picks off my Ulhans with horse archers. If I play Russia he drowns my streltlets in cho ku nus. Every way I try to go he obliterates me and obliterates me early. Most of the time he destroys my army several times, but while I am at his mercy he lets me go to artificially extend the length of the game. At this point I don't even want to win, just to have a go into the fifth tier.

    This is my first rts of this type (the closest I've played is maybe total war) and my friend has played AOE 3 enough to reach rank 60 in China, however long that takes. Please, anything helps.

    EDIT: this is on legacy edition by the way.

    PSA: If you struggle with seeing units in game. Pick color YELLOW, set Unit Obscure alpha to 100 % and change HUD size to 100 %. I

    How can I beat Japan? Never been able to. I can take out their town centre and barracks but the eco is spread all over the map, so it's easy for them to rebuild and keep producing units. I play mainly as Otto, Dutch or Aztecs.

    Winter Wonderland Gone

    I've been working through the winter event challenges, got the winter wonderland map which worked fine. I disabled it to play some ranked multiplayer, then re-enabled it to do the next challenge (win single-player skirmish on that map). Now it's disappeared from my list of mods. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a fix?

    I'm a greedy eco player, but has to settle for a supremacy deck with a lot of unit shipments. This deck has a potential to send 36 shipments before age 5. My aim is to send as many as I can before the end of the game, and still gather most resources without long term eco cards. Looks like it can be done....what is the most number of shipments you sent in a sub 40 min supremacy game?

    Long loading times since last patch

    I have been getting some extreme long loading times when playing multiplayer. Like 5 min. long! on a ssd! Anyone els having the same problem?

    Rating and Rank?

    Can someone explain the difference between rating and rank, and what ratings/ranks are generally associated with what skill level of player?

    This system seems more specific than vanilla, but makes it difficult to understand where you stand in the grand scheme of things. Thank you.
