Is competition and skill increasing on HD? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 03:35 AM PDT My ELO is 1750-1800 on HD and I've been playing frequently on it for 3 years with similar ELO. Before that I played on the zone and dabbled on HD. I almost exclusively play team games which I think makes it more difficult to increase ELO. However, I've noticed people on average seem to be getting better overall. I know my skill has increased by focusing on build orders, better micro, learning civ attributes, walling more frequently, watching pro games and T90O, etc. However my ELO is the exact same as 2 years ago. I think there are a couple reasons for this: 1) Average skill actually is increasing. The average 1800 is more skilled today than 2 years ago on HD. This is due to so many available online resources, pro games, etc. For example even a 1650 knows how to quick wall decently now and everyone knows build orders. 2) Smurfs! I think many very skilled players are playing with ~1650-1850 ELO on HD. Am I imagining this? Thoughts? [link] [comments]

What if farms were 1x1 and box-draggable? Posted: 21 Oct 2019 09:27 PM PDT I've always wondered if farms can be redone to be 1x1 tiles, and draggable like walls, but in a square field. Each tile would ripen up to 3 food, and refill at a rate that's 1/10th of the villager farm gather rate, so each villager can attend to roughly 9 tiles of farmland, but it can be in any shape that's convenient. The farms plants would get visually bigger and more numerous as they ripen from 0 to 3 food, and this amount would be drawn from a total before reseeding is needed. Villagers would then move to a nearby tile with a preference for the ripest one, and work their way around the farm tiles as they slowly grow back. Farms have always been kind of odd, such that villagers favor the left side of them, and they don't fit well with either mills or town centers. Is there any way something like this could work without causing problems? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Oct 2019 06:39 AM PDT For what time should i aim. I started to play more arena and want to know what is good fast imp time. I tried it with Turks against ai and got to imp at 23 min. Is that good or too slow ? [link] [comments]
If you use your sheep for scouting... Posted: 21 Oct 2019 08:31 AM PDT ...then they are military veterans. They bravely served their nation with honor, and this is how we thank them? With a homecoming bbq? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Oct 2019 09:08 AM PDT Hi there, I've been playing aoe2 since the 90's (casually against AI) I'm looking to start playing online but I still play the original 90's version. My question is, what version should I buy on Steam if I want to play online in 2019? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Oct 2019 08:45 AM PDT https://www.voobly.com/match/view/20779870 A cheater is found in voobly, totally unexpected as I thought no one would break Voobly Anti Cheat.
Edit: To report cheaters if you find someone cheating or noob bashing, https://www.voobly.com/forum/view/556 [link] [comments] |
