    Does anyone know if Aoe3 will be optimized for 64-bit? Or am I screwed now that I updated to mac's Catalina?

    I'm only trying to play local too, but I stupidly updated without realizing I won't be able to use the file I downloaded years ago now.

    I was considering buying the mac version from amazon/ebay etc, but it doesn't look like that would even work since it hasn't been optimized. After searching this sub it seems I could try partitioning windows, or attempt to roll back to Mojave which still supported 32-bit.

    I'm not as technologically educated as I wish I was though. I feel a bit lost deciding if partitioning is a good idea vs some of the other work arounds.

    Ok so usually my aoe3 has a black border for the sides but I turned windowed mode on in settings and now when I change it back it doesnt work, any suggestions?

    Germans / French unstoppable NR 45-60 on Vanilla?

    I have been playing NR games on vanilla for a while, and it just seems that there is a reason most people play as French or Germans. I am not an elite player by any stretch of the imagination, but no matter what if I play as any other civ not one of these two (usually ports or brits) I just can't overcome gendarme / war wagon spam and will eventually run out of resources after a 30 minute stalemate counter spamming 'goons/halls.

    I know it's probably more of me not being as good, but has anyone found this same issue? My scores are usually pretty close up the the battle. Are there ecos just too strong to go toe to toe for extended times?

    DATAP.BAR fix?

    I decided to download Age of Empires: complete edition on my laptop. After originally downloading it, it immediately shows an error message 'initialization failed could not load DATAP.BAR' is there any fix to it? I've already un and redownloaded AGE and turned on direct play. nothing changed. I'm on windows 10 is there any fix?
