    1500 ELOish. Keep getting put in 2v2s where my teammate is same elo as me, and the two opponents are complete noobs. As in they will mill their first boar.

    It's literally every other game and I can't imagine newer players find it fun to play against two much more highly rated players.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    So I noticed that the AI seems to be really good at micro, they send guys off in 20 different directions instantly during a fight and a single unit leading away and kills like 10 guys before i finally chase him down.

    1 villager casually walking across the field avoiding a hailstorm of arrows simply because hes moving?

    why are skrimishers so weak? a villager was building a stable outside my base and he tanked literally 50+ spears before he died? hasnt anybody watched 300 and seen what throwing spears can really do?

    How can i counter these seemingly weird balance issues and come out victorious against minor annoyances so I can actually move forward?

    ...aren't most unique melee units feeling worse? Or is it just me? I have no reason to build Samurai as Japanese now and it feels kind of sad.

    That said, I think this would be a good opportunity to buff some of the unique units nobody commonly use in competitive play? I'd love to see a slight movement speed buff to Samurai, or how about Teutonic Knights? It would at least make you think twice before just spamming champions instead.

    It is insane how many people will leave as soon as they are attacked by a few archers or scout cavalry. Even if your TC gets destroyed, go behind your allies and rebuild. Mass skirms and pikemen, do anything just don't leave a 4v4 until your allies have thrown in the towel as well. Why join a game, counting on not getting rushed, but leave if you do. What the fuck?

    How to beat trash units in late-imp?

    I'm a returning player from back in the day, so I'm not a total noob, but I'm not good by any means.

    I just got out of a 2 hour 2v2 game on Ghost Lake that was so frustrating, and I ended up resigning out of frustration. And I don't even know what I could have done differently.

    It was Byz(me)/Franks v. Teutons/Vikings.

    Both of the enemies fast castled, but I and my teammate both had fairly successful Fuedal age rushes, they rang their downbells multiple times and lost some vills.

    By mid-castle, early imp I had a great balanced eco, and had massed 20-30 Cataphract , 4 Rams, 2 Onagers, and about 20 Skirms.

    I pushed the Vikings player and took out most of his base. He kept sending waves of Pikes and Arbalests against me that I fairly easily defeated.

    I hit Imp and got trebs and elite cataphract, siege rams, and all my blacksmith upgrades. By this time I had "killed" the Vikings and was pushing into the Teutons base.

    What followed was hour-long struggle where both the enemy players would send 30+ Pikeman at my army, which I would defeat, only for 30 more to come.

    They kept this up for over an hour, and I kept massing my cataphracts since I Was winning the battles and my 7+ siege rams were demolishing key buildings, barracks, etc...

    But, they kept coming, over and over and over and over for over an hour, 30-40 pikes every 20 seconds.

    I ended up running out of resources at the 1 hour 45 mark as they killed my troops with sheer numbers of trash units.

    I resigned out of frustration and boredom.

    I don't really know what I should have done differently. I had map control, a good eco throughout castle/imp, pressured their economy in the early game/mid game, destroyed most of one of their players base and massed powerful units with full upgrades.

    I won almost every engagement, but they just kept throwing out cheap trash units that were endless.

    anyone experiencing the same issue? i faced many opponents where i defeat them at 30 minutes and he's just hiding his villagers and dragging the game to one hour and 15 minutes , he;s not trying to win he just want to piss me off

    at least Kamayuk is weak against Arbalest, due to Arbalest having 6 attack +4 with Blacksmith and Chemistry, dealing 5 Damage to Kamayuk.

    Either give them less, or even -2 Pierce armor, these Unit are supposed to be countered by archers,

    so when all the Armor Tech is researched they would only have 2 Pierce Armor.

    or add a Infantry unit that have a Similar Role as the Halberdier, "Long Pikeman"

    Anti Cavalry unit with Extra Range, extremely weak to archers(-4 Pierce Armor, all Infantry armor upgrade will only get them to 0 Pierce Armor), which cost like 60 Food and 10 Gold with a small attack and Mediocre Cavalry bonus(around +20 probably)

    How is DE MM skill balance after 10 matches?

    I'm really noob at aoe2. First 5 matches i played in multiplayer i always got players that were way better than me and it wasn't fun at all...

    Does it change after playing those 10 matches? Will i start to play against players that play as bad as me?
