    How to defeat the Japanese as German (LAN)

    Through I have played AoE 3 for times, I just have joined our community recently, I hope you guys will help me out with this personal crisis, many thanks.

    I have been playing the game for months so I kinda got all basic unique of all civilizations and know some degree how to counter them as German. But the Japanese are quite annoying to me.

    When I do a FF (which I usually do as German), he had fielded a bunch of Ashigarus and Naginatas to attack me, which hardly could I counter when I have just reached Age III.

    When I try to rush, which includes the Crossbows shipment, pikes, and Uhlans, he just fends of them easily just with the OP Ashigaru and Consulate's Crossbow.

    Most Japanese players also like to build shrines near my herds, and it's quite annoying.

    Any option above FF is unviable for me since I always have 50% wrecked when they attacked me in fortress age, especially when they fielded the OP Flaming Arrow, protected by Ashigarus.

    I know the Japanese were known to be quite OP, but I hate that its OPness didn't allow me to fight back against it.

    Teepee Strategy for Sioux

    Anyone using Teepees (and thus shipping cards) for Sioux? I've experimented with them but am at the point where I'm thinking my teepee improvement cards (nomadic expansion and friendly territory) could be replaced with something more useful. I primarily play 1v1 and 4v4 supremacy.

    Cant change the pause hotkey.

    I have been playing some singleplayer skirmishes, and tried to change the pause hotkey to space, but it refuses to work. It worked with f7 before I changed it, but after changing it neither that nor space works. Is there a fix for this?
