Yeah, not the first time I'm getting racist comments after winning a game. Don't be like this.

    Top Unique Counters vs. Arbalester

I just tested them and here are the results. Elephant Archers do very well!

For the tests I assume PostImperial Age, no micro and equal resources, for example 42 Arbalester (45G, 25W each) vs 16 Ballista Elephants (100F, 80G each). Then after the fight I count the HP of the winning unit and > 60% HP would be an A-Tier counter. I did all that 5 times to get a good average.

Disclaimer: This is not a ranking of how useful a unit is overall. It simply measures how well units do when patrolled into each other. Units have many attributes such as speed, range, attack damage and armor. This mostly focuses on attack and armor by design. So Teutonic Knights are expected to perform better than Mangudai (bc they can't make use of speed and range). This approach has its shortcomings but can hopefully still be useful because you know how it was created. Let me know what you would change :) (More detailed explanation is in the beginning of the video)

Is there a way to customize the ingame spectator overlay for casts/streams?

Why can't 'normal' time on AOE2 be... you know... normal time?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 05:02 PM PDT

Why does it have to he 1.7x fast (or however much faster it is compared to regular time)?

Edit: this has probably been asked before but I wasn't around the community then 11

Is heavy microing required for Aoe2?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 02:31 AM PDT

I'm gonna be honest, the only time I flexed my microing muscles was in 2016 playing Dota 2. (And even then I was pretty terrible.)
I'm a bit older now, kinda, and I always wanted to visit a game played when I was a kid.

I watched a couple of videos on it online and found that micro is a big part of the game. But, how big? That's what I'd like to know.

How to counter goth mass M@A rush ?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 04:04 AM PDT

Everything is in the title. I just got rushed in feudal by a goth player (I was lithuanians), I usually don't mind militia line early rush but here he invested so much that things spiraled out of control. I reached castle age with an okay economy and managed not to lose too many vills but I had nothing to kill his army. Even knights got crushed by his 25+ longswords. I tried to build second TC on my resources (all my stone and gold on the same spot...) to protect it but he could just destroy it and starve me out.

    [Scenario] Quickwall Trainer

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:07 PM PDT

Hey! Introducing 'Quickwall Trainer'. Inspired by the build order scenarios by Cicero and the various Hotkey Trainer scenarios, I decided to sit down and make a Quickwall Trainer scenario. Use walls, gates, and houses to survive waves of scouts or Men at Arms and you'll receive a grade at the end based on your performance. Enjoy!

Just played a few games with my dad for Fathers Day!

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 01:15 PM PDT

It was one of my first big games, like 20 years ago! I'm 28 now and I used to play all the time with my dad as a kid. I've grown up and don't see him as often as I should so I wanted to do something with him. He picked up aoe2 not too long ago on his own and I told him about T90's channel which I watch occasionally. He's been playing the past couple months and so I decided to pick up the game again after 20 years. I thought he might beat me but I put a real whooping on him lol. Almost made me feel bad that it was so one sided... Almost. Lol he does have almost 25 years on me though!

Just thought I would share something wholesome with this channel and the game that I loved growing up.

    Opponent refuses to resign

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 07:54 AM PDT

I played a match against a mongol player. He rushed me early with archers but I countered them with knights. After that I pressured his base with a castle and my army. After some castle and trebuches fight I swiped his base. But he refused to resign until I killed his last villager.

How often does this happen, that you're faceing such a stubborn player?

How are your experiencing this and at which point should someone resign?

Tips playing as the Koreans (Aoe2DE)

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 05:54 AM PDT

    Hey guys!

I love watching someone play the koreans, but unfortunately I dont really understand why they are considered so strong and how to play them.

The tower bonus is nice, but seems situational. So how do I win exactly? What is my early/mid/late game plan? Are war wagons good? Are they considered good in 1v1/teamgames?

I know there are videos about koreans, but I can't find any informative ones for DE, so any help is apreciated!

    Thanks :)

How think about tatars or turks in game C.A civs?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 01:59 AM PDT

Well... I usually played teutons in team game. but sometimes I need to play the civs that have good range and mobility. So I want to practice some C.A civs.

Mongols is best CA civs in post imp but I think in castle tatars or turks are better, mangudai need to time for gathering, and free thurmb ring or fatser golde miner good advantage using CA in castles.

But I wondered tatars and turks are good in team game for C.A civs.

How think about tatars and turks in team game?
