    Didnt see moronic Monday so posted this

    Yesterday played a ranked game in arabia where a mayans player walled up and played passively. I made about 20 knights but he made pikes and continue turtling. He made skirms and pikes (dont know wtf he spend his gold on) so i made the switch to champs and proceeded to mop the sh out of his army.

    My point is, what's the counter to champskarls? They got 8 PA, so what can mayans do against them? He also let me boom freely and i had an insane amount of gold and resources so i could spam champs non stop.

    Players who aren't interested in AoE3, what improvements/changes will make you interested in playing?

    I'm a huge fan of both the games and absolutely love them. No other games come even close to that for me. But I have always wondered why some people aren't interested in AoE3 at all? I mean most AoE2 players are atleast ok with it and check it occasionally. But some despise it and I wanted to know what changes/improvements will change that for them

    Hey i want to buy a new Notebook. Main use is for study. I would like to play age too. So i don't have any knowledge about graphic cards. Is the Ge-force MX230 enough to play this game?

    Where to start with campaigns for experienced player.

    I've been playing the game on and off since it came out, but have never bothered with the campaigns. I'm not really interested in doing anything resembling a tutorial. Should I skip the William Wallace campaign entirely? Is there any logical order I should follow when selecting which campaign to do or just pick one that takes my fancy? Is there a difficulty curve or are all campaigns similar in skill level?

    Interactive build order guide

    I'm a new player ( bought this game a few days ago, and I'm loving it) and found this mod (see title) via reddit, I know there's a post but this is a specific question. I've been practicing fast castle into knights. I get a A for my 28 pop feudal and a B for my 30 pop castle. BUT, and this is why I'm making this post, my end score is a D. I think it is because I was housed for about 10 secs when I started making knights, but is 10 sec rlly THAT destructive to your score?

    HELP: Lagging in multiplayer

    Hi everyone!

    I can't play AOE2 DE smoothly on Steam even when my internet connexion is quite good (I run a speedtest and get the following: 9ms (ping), 44mb ascending, 16mb descending). But when in a lobby, I see that I have a ping around 200-500ms. Can someone help me fix this problem? It's quasi-unplayable in multiplayer...

With Herbal Medicine, towers and town centres heal 36 HP per minute, and Castles heal twice as fast, at 72 HP per minute. If allied units are garrisoned inside a building, the owner of the building must research Herbal Medicine for it to take effect, not the owner of the units.

    Best way to improve before going into online games?

    I'm having 26hrs on record so far (+ some experience in AoE1) and I really want to get better and go into online games, but I can't get past moderate AI. I could manage to beat it once, but never again. No matter what I'm trying, it is always a step further than I am, to the point where I start wondering whether that is even a good exercise before going into online games.

    I have played the "Art of War" missions multiple times, but I'd like to train on actual and full gameplay instead of singular game methods. Are there some sort of scenarios etc. that I can try out?

    Avec Originalité et Enthousiasme (AOE), a French AOE2 event that will take place at famous Parisian cinema and concert venue Le Grand Rex, was announced today!

    During ZLAN, a multigaming tournament that gathered more than 150k viewers, famous French streamers ZeratoR and AlphaCast showed this short teaser for Avec Originalité et Enthousiasme, a new AOE2 event aimed for the general French public.

    If I understood correctly from previous announcements (the event was mentioned before but the pandemic forced the organizers to postpone), the event will feature pro players from the scene as well as French streamers with a much less impressive AOE2 level. However, the precise list of players was not revealed, and same can be said for the format of the competitition.

    It will take place at Le Grand Rex, Paris' most famous cinema. No date yet.

    The problem is, when I win a game as Spanish as I'm supposed to in 3rd challege, I never counts. The next challege didn't unlock and I don't have that icon. I tried both single and multiplayer and not only Spanish, but also Italians and Portuguese and still nothing. Maybe there is a solution somewere on this reddit but can't find it. Can anybody help me please?
