    If any of you have AoE3: Complete Collection on steam and are planning to buy AoE3:DE, remember that there's a bundle coupled with the original AoE3 that will make your pre-order cheaper by 25%.

    The discount is on the entire bundle, but you don't have to rebuy the game if you already bought it on steam; it leaves the discount on whatever items you haven't bought.

    If you already pre-ordered, you can return as per Steam pre-order return guidelines and buy it again through the bundle.

    Finished all college projects for this week. Did a lot of extra work at my job to get the day off when it releases. Even my girlfriend decided to take a "ladies day" with her friends and leave me alone with my computer for the day.

    I can't believe it's finally here. The first RTS I ever played is coming back shinier and with more content. I really want to play the campaing again and the new missions, the new factions look really cool.

    Hello Age of Empires III Community!

    If you guys haven't noticed yet we have the option to pre-load the game before October 15. This is important to do if you don't want to consume your day waiting for a download. This will enable you to quickly jump into the Definitive Edition experience.

    Download Size appears to be 28.9GB but when you start downloading it says something around 35GB. If anyone knows why I would like to know.

    Greece revolution Civ for Ottomans?

    With future updates in consideration, I thought it would be cool if Ottomans got Greece as a possible revolution with the whole revamped revolutions mechanic. On the other hand it makes complete sense as to why they wouldn't be added, as every possible revolution civ is currently shared by 2 or more civilizations.

    In a more of a meme-y idea, instead have Byzantium/Rome be a revolutionary civ (maybe from Russia too?), and Cataphracts can finally make their appearance in the only Age of Empires game without them.

    I was kinda hoping that it will allows for 200+ Pop games, like 300 Pop or even to the extreme of 500 Pop, sure in a 8 Player Match 500 Pop per player will cause chaos for their PC, but a noob or chill 1v1 game could be fun with 500 Pop.

    And no Sign of Bigger Map sizes.

    Oh Well, at least some of the new features(Especially the Revolutionaries and the Historical Battles) are pretty interesting.

    How does revolution work and when is it appropriate or a desired strategy?

    Is revolution just something you do when you're about to go down to convert villagers into an army, or is it something you should build for in strategy i.e. like going to revolution instead of age V?

    Can you still make villagers after revolution or does it stop your eco?

    In the Definitive Edition, the music goes up and down in volume at random times, and I hate it.

    So in the Beta of AOE 3 Definitive Edition, the music is just as good as the original. However in-game the music for me goes up and down in volume like not vibrating but "oscillates". It sounds like they're literally turning the volume wheel (button) back and forth.

    Anyone else experienced this? I find it super irritating, as this didn't exist in the original. Do you guys think this is intentional?
