- Hi! I managed to get over 1100 as quadriplegic with no finger function, using wacom tablet instead of mouse :) I know it's not much, but it's kinda big deal for me, to be able to compete with healthy people and kick some asses :) and what's cool, I know there is still room for lots of improvement :)
- Every time I see an infantry unit attacking a building in AoE2 I'm reminded of this scene from Robin Hood...

I am posting this as both question, but also hopefully as a thread for other beginners. How to best learn the game and get better at it?
What in your opinion are the core steps to learning the game to a decent level, where one can start competing in ranked play? I have been playing against the hard AI for quite a while but fail at beating it in castle age, so there's a long way ahead for me it seems. Posted: 05 Dec 2020 08:57 AM PST So, I want to make some time-laps for some of the civs I like to play, just to see my Feudal and Castle times with them and different bonuses they have, while doing the same build every time. For this to work as accurate as possible, I would like to play lets say Arabia, but always same map, with same resources and sheep positions. I know this is possible every time i restart the game, or click "Play Again" when it uses same civ. But I was wondering how to do this every day, with different civs? | Strange Lag in Single-Player & Multiplayer Posted: 05 Dec 2020 01:22 AM PST Hey everyone, I have recently - starting approximately three weeks ago - began to lag in multiplayer and single-player games of AoE2 Definitive Edition on Steam. The game will run normally at >60 fps then completely stop for 1 second after which it will start running normally again for random intervals ranging anywhere from 3 seconds to 10 seconds. After the lag ends the game catches up having all the units move and perform actions at increased speed. This happens regardless to whom hosts the match and happens in single-player. Thus far I have attempted the following:
I originally thought it might be related to my internet as I recently have moved houses ~three weeks ago, however the issue persists in single-player as well. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear! [link] [comments] |
