Proof that Cav Archers are unchanged from Voobly Posted: 10 Dec 2020 06:05 AM PST I've seen a lot of discussion around the increase in frame delay for cav archers between Voobly and DE. Below is a video which clearly shows that the frame delay for CA is the same between Voobly and De - any difference in the speed of the first shot is purely imaginary. https://imgur.com/a/78Rg6GM (may need to fullscreen to see arrows clearly) Due to changes in the animation they may feel different but in pure gameplay terms they are the same. I think some people are just forgetting that CA were always a bit awkward to use even back in the Voobly days. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Dec 2020 08:16 AM PST Was finally thinking I can get to 1100, but I've lost 5 games in a row in an embarasing manner and I'm under 1k again. Honestly, I think I'm done. [link] [comments]

Are the sprite/ animation assets viewable in steamapps dir? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:46 AM PST Hi guys, I would like to make collage of many units and buildings without the map editor constraints. Are the assets for the buildings and units available without encryption on the file system (not the icons but the sprites used in the game)? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Dec 2020 11:41 PM PST Is there a way to block players from matching them in a ranked game? I play in the team low elo section around 1300-1400 and the amount of early leavers in that zone is so annoying. For example yesterday we had a totally open 3v3 game and after 20 minutes one of the opponents just wrote "sorry guys gotta go Champions League started" and left, wtf?! That's just so egoistic. If you don't even have half an hour of time how can you start a team game? Things like that happen so often, people leaving for literally no game related reason. (I'm not even talking about people who leave after seeing enemy scouts 20 meters from there base) So is there a way to no meet them in a game anymore? [link] [comments]

Why don't portuguese have access to missionaries? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 04:33 PM PST Now that we have been through a lot of balancing and flavor changes to civs, I'm asking myself why they still don't have access to missionaries. I mean, it should not be game breaking and should add a lot of flavor to the secong iberic civ. Also it clearly says portuguese in the missionaries description: "As Europeans gradually came to understand that Columbus had opened the door to two complete continents, they awoke to the desirability of converting the potentially immense native population to Christianity. The Spanish, Portuguese, and other European nations sent monks called missionaries into the New World to bring about conversion and salvation. To be a missionary required great faith, a strong constitution, and great zeal. They often were required to plunge into the wilderness amongst peoples of radically different cultures and beliefs. Many missionaries suffered despair, torture, and death at the hands of natives who resisted the message being brought to them or identified the monks with the disease and conquest that accompanied them." https://ageofempires.fandom.com/wiki/Missionary_(Age_of_Empires_II)) What do you guys think? Portuguese with missionarios aye or nay? [link] [comments]
Game Takes Very Long to Load Hotkey Menu? & FPS Capped @ 75fps When Using Discreet Graphics? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:33 AM PST Does anyone else have this problem? When I click the hotkey menu, it takes forever to load (black screen). Also, when I use discreet graphics (1660Ti) instead of integrated (the one included with the Ryzen 4800H) it seems to be capped at 75fps. When I first start the game, it runs at 144fps, but as soon as I scroll somewhere it drops to 75fps and stays there. Doesn't happen if I use the Ryzen 4800H integrated graphics. V-sync is off.
