Is the quartermaster a staple? Posted: 28 Feb 2021 01:02 PM PST Every single civ that has it...I can't pick any other politician to advance to AGE2. 400w is an inevitable resource even when you shift almost all vils to wood during transition and start your amount for houses, TPs, market, barracks/stables or whatever. Is there any solid advice/general strategy to choose philosopher prince, naturalist or governor? Overall I think 400w politician is always a "you can't go wrong" choice but I can be wrong. Edit: Sometimes I choose The Governor when I play Ottomans and I want to rush. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2021 10:28 PM PST I'm a huge fan of small nerfs and small buffs to iron things out. Most of the time they aren't game-breaking. Right now it seems pretty obvious that Russia is underperforming overall next to China. Lakota, Sweden, and Japan are overperforming in every aspect. Mistakes are forgiven far too easily and the amount of effort required to win is simply not as much as the current lower-tier civilizations. Yes every civilization has its strengths and weaknesses, here are my suggestions: GENERAL: Give wood trickle, food trickle, and coin trickle an additional 5% yield to their respective natural resources. China:
Russia:
BALANCED. Lakota:
Currently they can mass up their high-HP, high attack easy-raiding cavalry way too quickly for their eco being as good as it is in DE with great hunt and 4 settlers factored into not having to build any homes. Sweden:
Japan:
Ottomans:
BALANCED. If you're wondering why I'm taking jabs at eco for say, Ottomans - it's because a slightly lower eco will result in a slightly less powerful game overall for them, not because their overall eco is OP but because of what they can afford with it for the cost. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]

Why does aiz keep showing us a tapir? Posted: 28 Feb 2021 04:36 AM PST Is he hinting that he'll be moving to Brazil? Is he hinting that he's a vegetarian like the tapir? What does the zebra riding the tapir mean? Does it mean aiz has such a huge manhood that it's sticking out of his zebra-striped speedos? [link] [comments]

Advice on playing vs Otto as France Posted: 28 Feb 2021 03:43 PM PST Hi, ~1000 elo player here. Can anyone give me some advice on what meta I should have in mind when playing France vs an Ottoman? Typically I open cav as France and raid followed by either musk for colonial push or semi FF for dragoons/skirms. I have also used xbows to repel the first waves of Jans if pushed early. I don't find them 'impossible' but I just don't know what meta I should pursue and I end up trying to do too many things. Should I stick with infantry only in colonial? Will foregoing raiding pressure give them too much of an edge? Obviously it is all situational but any thoughts welcome :) [link] [comments]
