Posted: 25 Apr 2021 07:54 AM PDT It's basically a love letter to the 30-years war and the Three Musketiers respectively, but I don't think it actually represents their history too well. What would I do? Give the French some unique artillery, they are represented by Napoleon for God's sake! Talking of Napoleon, maybe also some kind of card or tech to quickly recruit a lot of infantry. Next, give the Germans a unique Musketeer-type heavy infantry unit (after Swedes and Muricans got one), can be a reference to either the 7-year or the Austro-Prussian war. Now, least likely and most controversial, turn the War Weagons into a slower archaic siege unit and damage sponge (manlet like) and give them Ryters ("Reiter") instead. From a historical standpoint they should honestly have a non-guard version of the Cuirassier as well, but I guess having free choice between fragile high damage and damage sponge heavy cav would make them too overpowered. Posted: 25 Apr 2021 10:05 PM PDT Normally in games, if a foe attacks my vills, they'd just ignore the raid and keep on gathering food and wood and coin. But in my last few games their behavior has changed, and they'll stop what I want them to do to swing their 2dps gun at the raider. It's especially bothersome when it's just an enemy explorer jabbing me for free lost res. Is this a new behavior, and if not how can I tell my dudes to cut it out? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 26 Apr 2021 12:02 AM PDT So I just picked up this game and I am loving it! Unfortunatly I have had some issues with the AI and it could really well be that I am just bad. But I wanted to hear your thoughts on it. When playing Free for All with a few AI's I just can't seem to find a difficulty sweet spot. When setting the difficulty to moderate the game is a stompfest. The AI builds almost no units so I can easily make three seperate attacks, one on each AI, simultaneously and I will win every front and then just clean up. When increasing the difficulty just one level it all changes. I get destroyed in the early game since the AI seem to be building a lot of units (which is fine) but it also seems like they all gang up on me no matter the map positioning. Shouldn't free for all be a chaotic mess and not an all on one situation? What are your thoughts on this? Am I just imagining things or can someone relate? [link] [comments] | ||

Any tips on rally 10+ settlers to multiple mills and estates? Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:45 PM PDT Very often you need a quick way to spread your 99 settler to mills and estates. The hotkey (`) when you have less than 30 settlers is managable but it goes out of hands when you have 50+ settlers. So far I found rally them first onto wood and moving batch of 7 (optimise villager time) or 10 (optimise wood cost) to reduce villager idle time and allow me time to have a peek at the battle. However I am looking for a direct way to spread settler onto mills and estates when the trees are far away or all chopped [link] [comments] | ||

Long matchmaking or "waiting for other players" forever Posted: 25 Apr 2021 11:03 AM PDT Is anything broken after last patch? Matchmaking takes really long to find players, then when it finds, there's a high probability to get stuck with Waiting for other players. There's also weird Chocolate Chips More Cookies title. Any workaround how to speed it up? After turning the game off and on, it's usually better for 1 or 2 matches. But I don't have SSD, so I don't wanna keep resetting the game, loading times would kill my patience. [link] [comments] | ||

I sold well over 5000g worth of stuff there as I had no other way to get gold and level up before Age 3 but I still have not been able to complete the challenge. I've done the Louisiana challenge 3 times now (build 3 town centers on Bayou), launched from the challenge menu, played with different civs (Ottoman, British, Spanish) but it doesn't seem to complete the checklist! I've also given it more than one day in case I accidentally did 2 challenges but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions or anyone else dealing withthe same issue? [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 25 Apr 2021 12:54 PM PDT So yesterday I played a game with 60min treaty and of course I could only build stuff close enough to my first TC.. But two of my enemies were able to build there AND in the other side of the map. Which was Orinoko and so they had enough time to completely block the river in their side while we could do nothing. Can any1 tell me how they did this? Is that a feature or some kind bugusing/hacking? [link] [comments] |
