- Just played a hacker who immediately deleted all my buildings and units. Looks like he's trying to get to the top of the elo bracket (search his name on AoE2.net)
- Good old Nomad with only dock vill surviving and losing 80% built tc. 200 wood dropped off at mates tc with 1 vill ��

Posted: 30 Oct 2021 03:50 AM PDT In most instances where the game actually matters, you do not know if the enemy civ, so being told 'play as teutons' to counter goths is useless because the chances you will get goths when you pick teutons is low. | When should I learn a new civ? Posted: 29 Oct 2021 11:16 PM PDT Hi all, Thanks in advance for the helpful comments. When learning the game, I got told to 'one trick' a civ and get really good at a specific build order until I'm confident with it. I think I've done that with the Ethiopians and the 2 range build order. I've just reached 1100 elo (had a lucky 3 game win streak so probably more like 1050) using the same strategy every game. My question is, at what point can I call myself competent enough to branch out and try other builds? I'm not getting bored of going 2 ranges every time, just wondering when would be a good time to expand my repertoire. Thanks [link] [comments] | ||

| What to do if opponent is lagging? Posted: 29 Oct 2021 04:30 PM PDT I just got out of a ladder game after not playing for a while. My opponent showed a yellow/red clock next to their name the entire game. From dark age the game was running really laggy the entire time, and I am sure it was not from my end. It was not a fun experience at all. Is there anything I can do about it or am I just stuck with the lag for the whole match? [link] [comments] |
