Why do Kings count as military units? Posted: 04 Oct 2021 03:49 AM PDT I clicked the select all idle military hotkey, my halberdiers pricked their ears and earnestly awaited the orders of their commander. I right clicked the front line, and they charged fervently towards the enemy. But faster than the halberdiers was my king, who ingeniously ungarrisoned himself from his castle, and hurtled towards the enemy with such passion he actually arrived there before any of my army. If you do play team games, being doubled sometimes is part of the deal. Play defensive, wall up, make counter units. The longer you can hold out, the more chance you give your team to win on the other side. Don't spam flares and scream "omg noob pocket" at the first sight of a few scouts from the opposing pocket. Maybe your pocket is fighting on the other side. Maybe they're raiding the enemy. Stone miner and fishing boat swapped jobs Posted: 04 Oct 2021 07:01 AM PDT Kurikara Historical Battle, no clue what triggered it. When I noticed the stone miner was being attacked by a scout, then she walked on to the water (which saved her from the scout). She walked to the corner of the map and stayed there. How to install custom AI on AoE2 DE? Posted: 04 Oct 2021 01:59 AM PDT I discovered on one of theViper's videos a tournament between different AIs and the awesome AI scripting community for AoE2. There's a lot of AIs and I would like to try them, but am not sure how to install them on DE. The only info I could find is for pre-DE and I can't find the same folders. Technical Issue in AoE 2 DE Posted: 03 Oct 2021 09:59 PM PDT Hey, I've been having a strange issue in AoE 2 DE where my fps locks to 30 whenever I'm on the title screen (not a big deal) or in-game. My PC is more than capable of running the game, and it has run it before at 60 FPS very recently, but now the frames are just stuck at 30 and no matter what I do, I can't seem to fix it. Here are the things I've tried already: Ticking/unticking VSync Changing graphics settings Verifying the integrity of game files on Steam Restarting PC/Installing Windows updates Installing latest drivers (I have an AMD GPU if that helps, also to add that the game has run correctly using this version of the drivers) Editing registry values (the "FPS max" one) Editing AMD Radeon Settings for the game (ticking/unticking Enhanced Sync) Changing my monitor's FPS (59.40/60/75) and testing the game using these refresh rates Has anyone else encountered a similar issue while playing the game? Im also at a competitive level where you have to play a strict meta if you want to win and imo that just sucks all the fun out of the game. waiting for aoe4. Posted: 04 Oct 2021 07:52 AM PDT So, I have noticed lately, and have literally just experienced, lots of toxic comments (in this case about my skill level and, my ability to speak English and my mother, God rest her soul) when the opponent knows the rec has ended. The most recent experience went something like this. Opponent tried all in MA, skirm in feudal. It went to castle age, but not much further. There was some respectful chatting during, but as soon as the opponent resigned, knowing the rec ended, o boy ... Did they kick off.
