    I recently upgraded my PC and now when I enter the level editor and use any brush tool (land, forest, water, cliff, and terrain) my game drops to 1FPS with insane stuttering and lag. Is there any known method to fix this?

    Custom map of North America where all nations started with boats full of villagers, most AIs are refusing to land anywhere to settle after quite a while. How do I fix this?

    Ok so I'm super new to aoe 2, I played it as a kid but that doesn't count.

    So currently I'm just playing against ai to get my basics down and the hard ai often puts up watch towers in feudal. How do I deal with that if I'm trying to apply pressure and maybe kill him? Do I just ignore the tower and focus doing damage elsewhere, just accept the damage I take from it? Is there another option? Or do you just do some damage and then move to castle when you get rams.

    I've recently gotten back into the game after a years-long break, and I find myself pretty rusty. A few other players in one of my Discord communities have joined me, and we're all trying to practice to get to the skill level of one of said members. We've been doing some team games vs. AI to refamiliarize ourselves with build orders, learn hotkeys, and just polish our skills in general, and I had an idea for a mod scenario that I thought might already exist:

    A map for 2-4 human players and 2-4 AI. The map is split by impassable terrain such that each human player is in a 1v1 corridor with an AI player at the other end. The scenario would be a race of sorts - the first player to either achieve a Wonder victory or force their AI opponent to resign would win.

    I'm not sure what exactly is possible in AoE2's mods, but it may be useful for the match to continue after the first winner is declared - this would allow the other players to place second, third, and fourth.

    Does something like this already exist, or should I get to work on learning how to make such a thing? Is what I'm imagining even possible within the constraints of the mod editor? Is there a way to inform the AI that they should be playing "normally" against the player in their corridor, rather than getting confused and trying to play against the players/AI that they can't actually reach?

    EDIT: Map production is underway! The corridors are set up, and now I'm working on resource placement.

    EDIT2: Resources, Town Centers, starting villagers, scouts, sheep, and boars are placed and perfectly evenly distributed to each player's half of their lane. I set up a trigger for victory announcements, and I'm officially in the testing stage!

    EDIT3: To-do list:

    Find a way to prevent resource sharing

    Test victory announcements trigger and see if it works as intended.

    Playtest to make sure resource amounts are appropriate.

    I personally don't want more filters for maps, but it seems to happen so often, that people resign as soon as the game starts when they don't get the map they want, apart from what they have already excluded.

    I'm not interested in starting a game 2v3 for example, but now I've quit early in response, my wait time is penalised.

    Surely there should be more allowances as to what maps people can exclude, to avoid this? Particularly given that the wait times aren't terribly long anyway, and having people resign early wastes time anyway.

    TG random game maps

    All the map I got are basically team islands, arena, BF and nomad. Almost never get open maps Arabia in this new rotation. Probably not gonna play this game for a while.
