    Campaign Concept - Yue Fei

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 04:53 AM PST

Conflicts between the Jin and Song brought China to a turmoil, leaving many commoners impoverished. Rising from humble origins, Yue Fei leads an highly disciplined army against the Jin. Can victories over the Jin, followed by the Battle of Yancheng overcome treachery by a corrupt official with plots under his deep sleeve?

In this campaign, you will play as the Chinese.

    Scenarios: 5

    1. Suppression (Yue's first military campaigns)
    2. The Siege of Kaifeng
    3. The Puppet State
    4. Jin Campaigns
    5. Double-crosser (Battle of Yancheng, and the fall of Yue Fei to Qin Hui)

Notes: - The Jin may train other UU's like Rattan Archers and Mangudai, besides the usual Chu Ko Nu. - Some AI players may be represented by Vietnamese or Koreans for diversity.

    Feedback please!

    What units counter what?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 05:01 AM PST

Been getting in to the game more and reading people talking about units countering each other. I did some research but couldn't find a clear source of information. I was wondering if someone could write a clear explanation so I could print it out or link something like an info Graphic

MSN Live custom games - what happened to them and how do i revive them

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 01:01 AM PST

Does anyone remember the old online play where you had for example X number of kills upgraded your units and they just kept spawning, it was usually death match style with a king on a single island you couldn't move and when they died you lost. You usually got access to blacksmith tech and resources etc through milestones!

If no one else remembers this I'll be super shocked!

Do these still exist somewhere? If so where!

    Tips and help?

    Posted: 09 Jan 2022 09:30 PM PST

Hey I vaguely remember playing age of empires when I was like 5-6 and recently picked it up. How do I improve at the game? Mechanic wise i.e hotkeys, best ways to farm resources, and how to balance military with civ management.

Downloading a replay of an unranked match

    Posted: 09 Jan 2022 11:28 PM PST

Is there a way to download a replay of an unranked match? I know you can find ranked matches through AgeofEmpires.com and AoE2.net shows the outcome of unranked matches but neither allow for downloading of replays. Is this possible at all and I'm just being think? Or do you need to be in the match to have access to the replay? (This is presuming that there was a recording)
