Posted: 10 Sep 2019 06:26 AM PDT Hey guys, recently got aoe2 and got a few friends that still plays it too, we're wondering if we could play it with cheats in a match with just the 4 of us? I've ticked the enable cheats button but when the game starts, nothing happens once I typed in the cheats? Can anyone help us out please? Just really wanna go for an all out blood bath free for all. Posted: 10 Sep 2019 06:10 AM PDT AoE II must improve their game style somehow, bringing new ways to play without modifing the base gameplay. I've propoused before a GAME MODE, not modifing the core gameplay, to introduce iron as a new resource and I heavely support the idea to have a Jester unit. The game mode is basically "infecting" the enemies with dead bodies. How? We must create a new unit: the plague doctor in Town Center. Plague Doctor is a support unit who can fetch corpses from the battlefield and taking thems to Siege Workshop. Fetched corpses haves all the same model. For "Plague Wars", bodie's rotting takes more time. Only bodies with less than a 50% of rotten body can be feteched for this propourse. But, why Siege Workshop? Because we have now a new unit, a dark wood trebuchet to launch dead bodies through the enemies wall, that use a "special" ammo. Yes. The fetched bodies. When a corpse is launched, it's desintegrated once it lands. A green mist begins to spread on the battlefield with flies sounds on it. All units from all players nearby or inside the mist begins to be infected (1 second = 1 %) and they cannot be healed with monks. Only others plague doctors can heal the infected ones. Unfetched dead bodies are harmless. Of course, the plague doctor model can change depending the civilization. For americans or africans, a shaman-like model can be more accurate. Whats the best Civ for booming and fighting in Imperial? Posted: 10 Sep 2019 03:39 AM PDT I don't play much and I'm not particularly good, but I was wondering what the best civ for fast castling and focusing on economy to attack in Imperial would be as my play style consists of mainly defensive turtling. Thanks in advance for the recommendations. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Sep 2019 11:37 PM PDT Someone has already played on a map that was all the colors of bots, and each civilization formed a circle with gates and everything previously built (with castle, if i'm not mistaken, ready for combat). In the middle of the circle I remember there was a priest of every color (civilization) and also had several fallen skeletons. If anyone has played, tell me how can I get this map too please. I just played a really really weird game! Posted: 09 Sep 2019 01:48 PM PDT I was playing 4v4. I fast castle as pocket, and built 3 TCs. The problem is, here I was rushed by 3 of them and they destroyed me. So I went behind the other pocket base and rebuilt a TC there. Then a second TC. But he was attacked too. I lost all my tc again and the other friendly pocket lost his TCs as well. I was thinking to resign, but... In this moment, the 2 opponent players with the highest score drop in the same time (WTF? How is this possible?). The situation is now 4v2 for us but we have 2 players with no economy. With the help of the other flank he defeat all the army of the inactive players, and we start rebuilding an eco. I build a TC, a second, a third. But here, one of the opponent players start to push at us again. In this time, one of our 2 flank drop as well (3 drop in a game!) and both of us lose our economy again. We both hide behind our remaining flank and I start building another TC. Again, for the fourth time I start my eco again. But this doesn't last long, because both of the opponents start pushing to our only flank. We got destroyed again and we had to resign. They raided our flank as well. When they raided our only remaining flank, our flank was raiding alone the 2 opponent player's base succesfully. In this situation... well guess what? One of the 2 opponent drop. AGAIN! The situation is now 1v1 both with no economy! after watching this I left the game almost 30 minutes ago but they're still playing!! what a really really weird game this was, I wonder what they're doing right now 30 minutes later with no economy! Posted: 09 Sep 2019 12:01 PM PDT Does anyone know why there isn't an upgrade to a stronger scorpion after heavy scorpion? It just makes sense for consistency sake that there are 3 tiers for the scorpion like the mangonel and the ram. [link] [comments]
You'd think the Moderate AI would've fought harder than that. Posted: 09 Sep 2019 08:01 PM PDT Just prepping for the release of DE. If anyone wants to hit me up on steam add me. (YourWorstNightmare) Also, in the feed below post your favorite tips, tricks, and build orders/their counters so any newbies out there can have an idea of where to go from their 6 sheep. Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition - Your thoughts Posted: 09 Sep 2019 11:25 AM PDT Considering the following videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq2XbZkN7fE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw6ncMYQvzg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdqS0S2CgcQ And the leaked E3 and Gamescom gameplays. What are your opinions on AOE2 DE? For me as someone who played the game since 2009. I loved everything about it. The fact that most of the new changes are optional is a very nice thing. The fact that you can use old mods and scenarios in the new game just made it the first game I pre-ordered in my life and I'm not regretting this at all. Because unlike most of the remasters, this is not a cash grab and is being made with care for the community. A kind of rarity tbh. I wasn't a fan of the glow around buildings (seems to be optional) and the quickly disappearing corpses (I think they will change this for the final release). Other than that everything seemed great for me. So I will eagerly wait for your opinions. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Sep 2019 12:27 PM PDT Smart gather points! Shift shift shift your stables around that pesky castle and send some much needed Hussar love to your opponent's base! On that note, the waypoints of AOE3 are superior. No need to release shift for the final point, you just hold shift and click away. Units immediately start pathing through the flags.
