In Search for a mod, or a way to make it myself. For my Dad! Posted: 09 Oct 2019 06:39 AM PDT Hello there dear age Community. My father is the guy who introduced me to gaming. You guessed it, through AoE1, about 2 decades ago. My father plays, still to this day, AoE2. I gifted him Aoe2 HD when it came out, and he refuses to play any other game.My father is missing one thing from AoE2 to make it the perfect game for him, and that would be reneewable ressources. His entire life he wanted to make the world a better place, and currently he works in the reneewable energy industry, and would love to see something like that in AoE2 Long story short: Is there a Mod, that introduces trees growing back, dependant on how many trees there are. Or Deer repopulating, depending on how many there are left. And if not, I ask the experienced AoE2 Modders, would something like that be possible? I am a programmer myself, but have never touched something old like AoE2. I am fairly inexperienced, since I am not programming for more than a few years now. But if that would be possible, I would try to create that mod until his birthday spring next year, as a gift to him, since he has no material wishes anyways. AoE Community, help me out here, please, and make an old man happy. If successfull, I am sure, he would be not the only one loving an AoE Mod like that! Thanks for your time reading. Edit: TLDR: Is there a Mod, that introduces trees growing back, dependant on how many trees there are. Or Deer repopulating, depending on how many there are left. And if not, I ask the experienced AoE2 Modders, would something like that be possible? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Oct 2019 04:09 PM PDT Hi, after several online matches I noticed that many times I experience a certain type of fear of expanding on map - not once I tried to build as tight as possible, sacrificing most of resources on the map just to secure my starting position. I'd just wall the f*ck out my town. To be honest this is becoming a pain in the ass since this squeezing very negatively affects my booming stage and overall economy since I don't have a map control over my opponent, who already placed multiple mines on the map. I know this is a very bad defensive behavior which won't bring any good, but I have no idea how to overcome it. The feeling is somewhat similiar to the famous gear fear from Escape from Tarkov game. Any protips? [link] [comments]

Display size on a MacBook via Bootcamp Partition Posted: 08 Oct 2019 09:09 AM PDT I just installed AoE2 in my MacBook Pro (mid 2015). I used a bootcamp partition and installed windows 10, and then used steam to install the game. The game looks super zoomed out and everything is very small. How can I fix this? [link] [comments] |
