- Why does everyone claim Voobly ELO = HD ELO + 200-300? I've been watching streams of Hera and Daut coaching 1600-1700 players on Voobly like this video and I feel these players are no where near 1800-2K on HD?

Civilization Match-up Discussion Round 7 Week 4: Franks vs Teutons Posted: 09 Oct 2019 05:24 PM PDT Good thing I totally didn't forget to do write this post.... hahaha.... still technically Wednesday for me so I'm good! ;) Hello and welcome back for another Age of Empires 2 civilization match up discussion! This is a series where we discuss the various advantages, disadvantages, and quirks found within the numerous match ups of the game. The goal is to collectively gain a deeper understanding of how two civilizations interact with each other in a variety of different settings. Feel free to ask questions, pose strategies, or provide insight on how the two civilizations in question interact with each other on any map type and game mode. This is not limited to 1v1 either. Feel free to discuss how the civilizations compare in team games as well! So long as you are talking about how the two civilizations interact, anything is fair game! Last week we discussed the Britons vs Japanese, and next up is the Franks vs Teutons! Franks: Cavalry civilization
Teutons:
Below are some match up-specific talking points to get you all started. These are just to give people ideas, you do not need to address them specifically if you do not want to!
Thank you as always for participating! Next week we will continue our discussion with the Malay vs Portuguese. Hope to see you there! :) [link] [comments]
PSA: Don't cancel the Spies research once you've started researching it... Posted: 09 Oct 2019 05:33 PM PDT You only get back 200 gold, regardless of what it cost you (200 gold per enemy villager, with a min of 200 and a max of 30k). You could lose 29,800 gold! [link] [comments]
AOE 2 DE possible historical battles Posted: 09 Oct 2019 10:49 PM PDT I dont think there will be any historical battles, but if there was i think there are some great battles to be shown: Battle of Grunwald 1410ce Lithuanians vs Teutons Siege of Constantinople 1453ce Byzantines vs Ottomans Siege of Constantinople 717ce (this battle influenced the battle of Blackwater Bay in GOT) it has greek fire and a massive chain crushing the saracen fleet, and bulgarian cavalry rescuing the Byzantine defenders) Byzantines vs Saracens Battle of Ain Jalut 1260ce Mamluks vs Mongols 1st Battle of Paniput 1526ce Tatars vs Indians Battle of Talal 751ce Saracens vs Chinese These are just off the top of my head, if there are any other better ideas and suggestions i would like to see a a discussion, even if historical battles wont appear [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Oct 2019 01:36 PM PDT New research suggests that the Mayans may have inadvertently caused their own demise by radically altering the climate. https://nypost.com/2019/10/09/ancient-mayans-created-their-own-climate-catastrophe-1800-years-ago/ At the very least, this shows the negative impacts of clear-cutting on Yucatán. For the sake of historical accuracy this civ bonus clearly should be eliminated, at least in Imperial. [link] [comments] |
