The only exception is the female villager, obviously. Everyone from the Warchief through Wakina Rifles to Villagers have the exact same lines. It's not just that they say the same thing, it's literally the same file. I'm all for historical accuracy but if it's at the cost of the original great voice acting being replaced with this cheap low-effort one I'd rather not take it. This is my favourite nation to play in the game and hearing this guy falling asleep while I'm giving them attack moves is very disheartening. Also villagers saying the same thing as soldiers is getting old real quick. I voiced my opinion on this during the closed betas but this was never addressed. I recorded this video on the current build which is going on right now, if you have access, hop in and take a shot yourself. Haudenosaunee/iro got the same treatment, same guy, same lines, same sound files. Let me know how you feel about this. If you want, I can record the haudenosaunee one too. [link] [comments] | ||

Banks and now TC takes the extra 2 spots euro civs used to have free in OG AoE3. How is that going to be addressed? [link] [comments] | ||
| Sweden age 2 potential is huge! Posted: 10 Oct 2020 08:19 AM PDT For those that don't know yet, Sweden has a special house building called torp. Torps cost 120 wood and they gather resources adjacent to them, albeit very slowly. They also spawn berry bushes next to them so in a way they also give you a food trickle. On age 2 though, there's a card that increases the gold gather rate for torps by 200%! I don't know how that compares to villager gather rates yet, but it's a beast. By playing some matches, i figured out that if i had 6 torps on gold mines i didn't need any villagers collecting coin to spam infantry and still have gold to spare. Sweden also has a unique artillery called leather cannons that are available already on age2. They cost 100w 300f. 300 food, that's the bottleneck, Sweden consumes a ton of food but they don't need to have villagers collecting gold at all. These cannons are also fast and don't require set-up i think, but obviously they are not that strong and don't take a lot of damage, they still wreck age2 infantry though. So, Sweden is very vulnerable to rushes, because their economy takes a bit of setting up and some map freedom to build torps. They need two age 2 cards: wood crates for barracks + artillery foundry, and torp gather rate card, but once they are up and running they can send a stream of heavy infantry and cannons your way. It's nuts! I love it. In team games they just need to be defended for a few minutes before they unleash hell. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 10 Oct 2020 01:18 PM PDT Yay! One of the things that I liked the most are the new revolutions. Now they are more historical accurate, they include countries outside of America, and you can now have always a economy, wheter your revolutionaries can work, or with a card. The thing is that seems that they are unfinished. Seems that they are adding unique skins for the revolutinary units for each country more or less, but some countries need more card to be fully fuctional. Some revolutions seems very UP (a gatlin gun for every fort? that would be 1 in max...) while others seems that will work as a viable strategy. My favourite revolution was ports as Brasil, it's crazy. What do you think? [link] [comments] | ||

While this is still wishful thinking, I would like to hear what African tribe you would like to be made playable in a potential African expansion pack. The choices I picked are based on Sandy Petersen's interview about 4 tribes from different corners of Africa, plus I added the Zulu. However, remember that you have to know enough of the tribe before you vote for it, plus you can pick the ''another'' option and tell me what you want instead. Please do remember that this is only for dark-skinned native african tribes and doesn't include Eurasian people that colonized Africa and Mediterranean based cultures, so please don't mention the Egyptians. When I play as the Dutch I only have 5 mills/plantations. Do the banks, with all relevant cards, compensate this loss of income?
