- So it's my birthday this weekend so I made this for fun Battleshots AOE 2 Style. Also, made islands with monks on them to convert the shots ( so if you land on the monk you do a shot)

Question about map visibility with AI Posted: 03 Oct 2019 01:01 AM PDT If you're playing single player against the AI, is there any consequential difference in playing with the regular fog of war map vs playing with all visible from the get go? I'm interested in knowing whether the AI benefits from full visibility mode. [link] [comments]
Custom scenarios: How to detect if a given player is a bot or a human? Posted: 03 Oct 2019 05:38 AM PDT I'm making a map where the ai would literally find it impossible to play, but the map can theoretically be played single player; however, to function the game does require that all player slots are filled. With this in mind I'd like to be able to: In the case of multiple human players: simply remove the ai players. In the case of a single human player: put the bots in a position where they can't interfere with the human player in any way, and also make them immune to the loss conditions I seem to remember seeing this done once, but it was long enough ago they I can't say for certain that this is what I saw or what map it was done on. So, to content creators: Is it possible to do this? And if so: how? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2019 01:50 AM PDT I'm looking for a new RTS as SC2 is now starting to get a little stale for me, I used to play AoE2 a bit back in the day but not a huge amount. I'll be sure to check out the youtube and streamers listed in the side bar but my main question is should I wait for DE to come out? Will all versions of the game be able to play together? I don't want to get HD and then have to get DE in a month. [link] [comments]

What team bonus would you give to the Incas if you could? Posted: 02 Oct 2019 12:40 PM PDT Most players have noticed how useless the Incan team bonus is, and many of us like to imagine how a better team bonus would be. What are your ideas? I have couple of them:
None of this will probably ever happen, but dreaming is free, right? What are your ideas? [link] [comments]

Why doesnt the AI attack/defend together? Posted: 02 Oct 2019 12:12 PM PDT Kinda new to the game. So what I like to do is generate a random yucatan map orso, and block myself and allies off from the enemy, then play against 3-4-5-6-7-8 hardest for epic lols. But what I noticed is that the AI dont help eachother... I open up the path and start atking player 3, but player 4, 5 etc just stay there, even though they have shittons of army.... Same for my own allied AI, they just stay there in town with their 300 army units.... I tried "31" and "222" I tried messing with the settings in the scenario creator, like global victory /team victory and locking teams etc, but nothing seems to make them attack when they are not being attacked :/ [link] [comments] |
