I thought HD edition owners got a discount?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 07:54 AM PST

Am I wrong? I saw people saying that was going to happen but my steam page shows full price. Not that it matters because I'll be buying it regardless but am just curious.

    Steppe Lancers x Kamayuks comparison

    Steppe Lancers x Kamayuks comparison

    https://preview.redd.it/3rbo9uf5qmy31.png?width=651&format=png&auto=webp&s=d3cd0feebd46b09966837e716d7c0d56e4603abd

So I was watching the ZeroEmpire's video on Steppe Lancers and wanted to compare them with the most obvious choise - Kamayuks.

    1) Availability - Kamayuks are unique units meaning that you have to build a castle in order to train them. Lancers are available automaticaly when you hit castle age from the stables. From this perspective the Steppe Lancers have the edge since you can train them without having to invest into a castle.
    2) Cost - Both cost the same amount of gold, but the Steppe Lancer costs 10 more food, which doesn't change much, so costwise are almost the same.
    3) Health - Both have the base of 60 health and both can be upgraded to 80 - Lancers via Bloodlines and Kamayuks via elite upgrade.
    4) Attack - Right from the start the Lancers have the edge with 3 more attack.
    5) Armour - Lancers start with 1 pierce armour and Kamayuks do not start with any. You have to get the elite upgrade to get at least one melee armour for them.
    6) Speed - I have not found the exact number for the Lancers, but they are cavalry so they will abviously be much faster.
    7) Attack bonuses - Again I could not find any attack bonuses for the Steppe Lancers and I suspect that they do not have any. On the other hand Kamayuks have great bonuses against cavalry and elephants making them comparable with halberdiers.
    8) Elite upgrades - both cost about the same with Lancer one being 50 gold more expensive. It gives even more attack to the Lancers (12 in total) and 10 more HP (with Bloodlines they are almost the same as Kamayuks). To Kamayuks it gives 1 melee armour which is negligible and further attack bonuses.
    9) Other - Also Steppe Lancers for some reason stack on top of each other meaning that they are much more efficient in group fights since all of them get to be in the "front line".

In conclusion we could say that Lancers are easily available mounted Kamayuks with bigger attack and comparable cost. They miss the attack bonuses that Kamayuks have but make it up for with greater speed, bigger attack in general and better fighting ability over all thanks to the stacking.

    Best order for the campaigns

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 05:04 AM PST

    Hey guys and girls,

What do you reckon the best order is to play through the campaigns? I've seen on youtube that the way they are presented has changed. Is there a difficulty curves in the different campaigns? Haven't played any of them since 10 years ago, so haven't seen all the HD ones yet.
