    With the new DE update I'm coming back to the game after a 15 year hiatus. Been playing about a week and it's good to be back.

    More to the point, while the Goths haven't been nerfed directly, man, they're now quite a low tier civ. With the intro of Supplies, I personally can't see a reason to pick them over, say..... Japanese. Though, I'm excited about a lot of the new civs.

    As many others would like, with their particular civs, I would love to see the Goths get a buff, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

    As an aside, For credibility, I'll add I was rated 1800+ in the gaming zone back in the day (no clue what that is today's ratings).

    I just wanted to start off saying that I love this game and grew up playing it all night with friends at lan parties, I would never do anything to ruin this game for others. I am currently attending college (majoring in comp science with emphasis on machine learning), and wanted to spend this winter break working on a project. I think trying to build an AI (similar to Alpha Star from SC2) to try and play aoe2 would be a very fun project to learn some new techniques. SC2 AI devs have an advantage of an api that they were able to use to control their empire. I was wondering if there is anything that exists like this already for aoe2? Also is this something that would vac ban me or something similar if i was just putting my ai up against the computer in single player?

    Thanks for any tips or advice. Anything is helpful.

    I just did a game against a hun player who wasn't happy that i thwarted his archer to knight aggression, he claimed out of frustration he was going to make it so he wouldnt lose ELO and sure enough, when the game ended my ELO didnt change. Im hoping this will be fixed in the upcoming patch but this is my first time seeing it, so i hope it is on the dev's radar

    Hi guys, noob here

    Just got the game, one hour played. I've played a fair bit of wc3 and in that game I always group more than one different unit producing building on one hotkey. Lets say I had a sanctum, then a workshop hotkeyed on 8, and I wanted something from the workshop, I can press 8, tab, q. Any way to replicate this behavior in aoe2? If I have a barracks and a stable on the same key and I want something from the stable right now I have to press the hotkey, then mouse down to the stable, which is insanely annoying.

    I see what they were going for and it's nice but I think there should be option to sort them by difficulty or expansion. My friend's were a bit confused when I told them they should pick Joan of Arc, El Cid, or Atilla instead of just starting at the top of the list (Africa, Francisco campaign).

    I've been playing private matches with my friends and every third game will either crash or randomly DC me or almost everyone in the game. Is there a way to reconnect to the game?
