    Crashes and disconnects are ruining many games

    It's a bit frustrating there's no reconnect facility, and that if an ally disconnects their villagers just sit there doing nothing. At a minimum the resources should be distributed and the villagers continue working, but I would argue they should be allowed to be controlled by allied players.

    The boar no longer needs two shots to be lured, right? I have played a few games and I always shot only an arrow and it never failed to follow my vil straight to the tc.

    I still DC around 4-5 min in 1/3 games, and its getting pretty annoying at this point, not only for me but for my random teammates aswell...

    Getting into AOE2

    Hey,I wanted to give a try to AOE 2 since I am getting bored from playing C&C Generals Zero Hour for about 10 years and someone recommended me this game. I got a bit overwhelmed when I searched it, found out there are 3 versions of the game - original, HD and definitive editions, and that they somewhat differ from each other.What's the difference between those 3? Where plays the majority of the player base? What should I buy and where from (If Steam is OK)?

    EDIT: Thanks for all the useful and friendly responses.Just to be clear, "bad" UI and graphics are absolutely NOT an issue for me. I have mentioned I played Zero Hour for over 10 years, the game was released around 2003/2004 with very shitty graphics and random crashes during lobbies, games and even launching the game. Also, the game currently gets around 80-ish players during peak times, that's why the player base question is important to me.

    How to Git Gud against Hard AI

    My friend and I have recently started playing 2v2s against the AI and have been winning on moderate difficulty but when we went up to hard we got crushed. Any tips for beating the hard AI? Good civs to play?

    CTD When hitting castle age every match?

    This is getting ridiculous, since the recent patch my game crashing shortly after reaching Castle Age. I do not want to play because it is just disheartening to play up to castle then have all effort wiped instantly.

    Devs is this being fixed?

    [DE] Suggestion - when the AI resigns, make it destroy its defenses (or at least disable auto-attack)

    The CD AI does this. It's pretty frustrating when the AI resigns when you've only taken down part of its base and it still has garrisoned TCs and Castles firing at your units still. It also seems that some enemy units still work/move around the map even after their AI player has resigned.

    Crash on x256 mod for definitive edition

    I've crashed to the desktop twice when trying to play this mod, generally after clicking wheelbarrow. Is there a fix?

    edit: just tested in a new game, I think it's the second tech I click that crashes it. The last two times it was wheelbarrow, this time I deliberately didn't click it (clicked double-bit axe twice) and it still crashed.
