    Hello all, I have a question about the basic 22-pop scout rush.

    Why is it suggested to lure the boar at pop 10 instead of pop 11?

    When I do so, the boar often does not stay underneath my TC while I finish the fourth sheep, and I have to catch it with one of my sheep vills. After that I invariably tend to either garrison too many vills trying to protect the second lurer or lose the second vill to the boar.

    I know this can be improved with practice, but I don't understand why it's necessary in the first place. Why not send the pop 10 vill to sheep while luring with vill 11? Alternately, if there's concern about the sheep running out too fast with 7 vills, why not send the pop 10 vill to stragglers for a slight wood boost?

    Hey, i have been playing AOE2DE ever since its release and have been playing online the last month or so.

    I SUCK.

    I can get the feudal quickly and efficiently but after that i'm always getting rushed or just totally destroyed as i progress.

    What are some good guides/videos to watch to learn how to improve from feudal/castle age?

    Wolf farming

    So here's an idea of a fun and kinda unique boost. Give one of the low tier civs the ability to harvest food from wolf's. Would be kinda cool to actually use the wolf's for something other than wolf-rushing^ and would be fun to try to drag the wolf's close to your own tc without losing vils :D

    Hi all, getting back into the game after years away. When in battle with many units, I'd like to issue a move command like SC2 and have all my units move that direction together, instead they prioritize getting into formation resulting in the forward military units literally walking away from where I'm clicking... How do I resolve this?

    What do these symbols mean?

    Hi all, can't confirm anywhere what these symbols mean... I'm guessing:

    1. HP of the unit
    2. Melee attack damage
    3. Melee Armor
    4. Ranged Armor
    5. Ranged attack damage

    Is this correct?

    I am a noob/bad player, but I love this game. My favorite map is Nomad. I have noticed that when I dock on the open ocean, I usually loose my ships fairly quickly once the opponents reach feudal & I am still in Dark Age. Even if they reach feudal at the same time than me, I usually end up loosing water. Now, I have noticed, that when I dock in the middle pond/lake, I am able to usually keep my ships (if I survive) until Imperial Age, or even the entire game. Yes, it has limited fish, but it usually has enough fish to get you to imperial & then you can start putting fish traps. Many times, NOBODY will dock in the pond & I have all the fish for myself.

    Teutons bonus idea

    I normally hate to think about 2x2 farms but considering what's being added into the game these days its not that much of a stretch to think about. And a flash of inspiration hit me. It sounds like the perfect bonus for Teutons.

    Teutons have a notoriously strong eco bonus that fades in utility rapidly as the game progresses and is void in utility at late-game trash fights. So I thought, why not just boost Teutons by shrinking their farms to 2x2. They can much more easily protect their eco which works well since they are primarily a defensive situation, so says aoc. Also with them getting 40 wood farms it helps explains where they cut corners.

    Thoughts on this being good or bad? If you had to give it to one civ which one would it be? (besides vietnamese obv, I dont think this eco bonus will be much of a powerful food collection increace unlike the bonus that they need.)

    Sorry if I am missing something. I'm on DE and I see no games in lobby browser and no games to spectate? Also earlier I tried matching with someone and matched the same person twice. Is that normal? I know there are people playing the game.

    I decided to stop making knights versus archers and stick to mangonel / skirms.

    Anyone else having this problem? I'm around 1200 on the ELO score, and used to be able to get a decent number of games

    I have queues that have went as long as 1 hour. I usually just reset it every 15-30 minutes but it hasn't helped.

    I can get into 1v1s quite easily though. I use the MS store verision if that makes any difference

    Game breaking... Yes, most likely to be. Can't be... Historically accurate outside of Howards.

    Probably better wood bonus than huns and Celts I suppose. 100W saving in dark age as they'll only need to build LC on the way up for getting double bit axe. Buff for drush/M@A as mill+barracks would likely be the two dark age buildings. Might allow click up with 1 less vill?

    Late game trash war eco composition would require fewer lumberjacks as wood collection rates would not fall off with increasing distance of forest from LC.

    Sneak vill with 0 idle penalty. Towering vills could hang around the tower just chillin choppa (Vivi buff 11).

    Otherwise, I was thinking that instead of higher hp archers, perhaps faster moving archers could make things interesting. Specially with micro. Right now only plumes are fast foot archers. Perhaps halfway between the speed of regular archers and plumes.
