Resource trickle cards worth it? Posted: 27 Apr 2020 03:36 PM PDT Hi, getting back into AOE3 after 13 years or however long it's been since TAD's release, re-familiarizing myself with how everything works. Question, are the resource trickle cards worth it? The ones like 'Capitalism' and other that give a constant trickle of food, wood, and coin? I'm looking at decks that presumably good players post online and I rarely see these cards, I more often see cards that boost food and coin gather rates. So are they worth it? Fun meme strats Posted: 27 Apr 2020 03:15 AM PDT I have been playing around with a variation of Kaiserklein's merc build with Germany lately. If you are lucky enough to get Higlanders or Jaegers, the mass you can get is ridiculously powerful and most opponents resign when they see it. It is not viable, I lose as many games as I win (though against Japan boomers it have been excellent lately). So, what is your favourite 'meme-strategy'? Are you a fan of Chinese diciple rush? City level and getting into the online side of this game again Posted: 27 Apr 2020 02:50 AM PDT So I absolutely love multiplayer for this game but the sheer disadvantage of having a city level of 10 at the start is so discouraging. I played it ages ago and got levels up but I rebought on steam and obviously starting over. Is there some way to get my city level up without grinding through loss after loss?
