How do I assign a "Select Idle workers" hotkey?
I couldn't even do this if I tried. Bot game

A guy with Malta and the knights of Saint John as home city Jones joined my mulriplayer game yesterday and i have to admit that i have no idea how that was possible. Please let me know if you have any clue.

I have both aoe and aoe2 but I haven't really played them that much. The pathfinding in aoe DE is atrocious, even though the game is still pretty good. But I'm not half as good as I am in aoe3, lol. As for aoe2, it's a pretty solid game, but I just prefer the industrial setting of 3 (most important reason for me), and the fact that I don't have to worry about dropping off resources, which makes the game feel quicker. I play aoe2 once in a while, just like with chess. For me aoe3 is like blitz (speed chess) which I play almost every day because it's fun and intense, but once in a while I play a long, classical chess game. I'm curious about how often you guys play the other games, and why you like/dislike the other titles.

How do I assign a "Select Idle workers" hotkey?

Hi! I am losing my mind over the select idle villager hotkey in this game. In aoe2, I assigned it to the mousewheel button, so I could spam it constantly. When I use the hotkey in aoe2, the selection goes to the next idle villager and the camera centers on the selected villager.

However in aoe3, I get the selection of the idle villager, but the camera just jumps to a random location in the middle of nowhere. This doesnt actually help me at all finding my idle villagers! I tried using the banner on the top left corner (which DOES center the camera on an idle vil) but the hotkey doesnt work as I want it to. I checked and there is no other hotkey assigned to Mouse Button 3, so this cant be it.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or do I just have to get used to not using a hotkey but clicking on the banner?
