    3v3 compositions

    3 mates, been playing for 10 years. Just jumped into ranked for the first time. We're killing it for now but I don't expect that will last long. We're just faster than people, but don't have much strategy.

    My question is, what do you consider when you're making a 3v3 composition? At the moment we just play our favourites (Slavs, Bulgarians, and Khmer), but when we start getting beaten we probably need to make more tactical choices. We ban water and nomad maps.

    We like seige, swarms, elephants respectively, I would appreciate your input as the community here seems really good.

    The elephant guy is by far the best (plat starcraft player).

    I've only seen a few posts about this event. The rubbish patch has really taken over this sub and has taken away from this event. The wololo cup was incredible and had record numbers of views at times, the viewership of this event has dropped alot. Can we support the game we love?

    My ELO is embarrassingly low right now. I've played maybe 30-40 games and I'm sitting right around 580 ELO. What am I missing? I have a very rough build order down. I've done the art of war tutorials and gotten silver in half of them. Is this a common issue people deal with when they first start ranked play?

    Noob friendly civs?

    hi all, so my girlfriend just started playing the game and wants to get decent at 1 or 2 civs. I played a few years ago and have come back and am around 1100 elo so I am still pretty much a noob too and I guess I should also try play more civs.

    I know generally cavalry civs are easier to master. I have suggested the franks to her as I used to play them a lot. I just find they get boring after a while as they seem to be somewhat one dimensional. One other civ I play a lot are the persians. I love that they seem more diverse (love the elephants and heavy camels) and I love the trash crossbowman (that upgrade that makes the crossbowman just cost wood).

    Generally I struggle to micro archer units, onagers and priests. I like the persian crossbowman because they are effectively a trash unit so I don't worry too much if I lose a few. But in general I steer clear from civs that focus on archers. I also often kill my own units with onagers or I fail to protect them from other cavalry so I tend to not build them either.

    Is it possible to disable right-click and hold for drag map move? Really annoying feature and I can't find it in the options menu.

    I have 2 Monitors and the Mouse Cursor slides out of the Game to the 2nd screen. Anyone knows how to fix this issue? :/

    I tried to reset all the options but it still happens. I tried tabbing through and also having ONLY AOE2DE open with no other windows but it doesn't help.

    I have Windows10 and play the AoE2DE Version on Steam.

    Anybody else just not getting games on Arabia since the patch?

    I've probably played about 30 games since the new patch and have gotten Arabia maybe only once or twice in those games. it's honestly getting frustrating as hell since that's really the only map I like to play

    Noob Upgrades

    Is it just me or did the latest patch make the game way more unstable?

    I have had disconnects or drops happen in like 1 of 3 games since the update. And my actual connection didn't go down so it shouldn't be my computer. What gives?
