- Me with 0 unit kills and 100 vils lost to raids
- Stonks going up!
- Battle of the Four
- I gather all my vills and butcher all my llamas at once.
- Gameweek 3 for The Civilization League is done and here are the results and the standings along with some stats/records. Fixtures for Gameweek 4 will be available soon. The links to the Guide to the Civilization League and previous gameweek results are in the comments.

1v1 vs TG - The difference in meta Posted: 01 Aug 2020 06:00 AM PDT I've been mostly playing 1v1 games and the occasional unranked TG with friends who are mostly around the same skill level or worse than me. I'm thinking of starting ranked TG RMs now. I have a fair sense of what the meta with 1v1s is and there appears to be a tonne of advice and strategies for the 1v1 scene. I want to know what's the difference in meta that I should know moving to TGs:

DE Bug: Diagonal palisade gates not building? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 08:36 PM PDT Had this happen to my opponent, winning me the game, then to me the next game. A palisade gate wouldn't start construction. Even when I clicked multiple times the villager wouldn't touch it. Had to remove the foundation and replace it. Both times the gates were vertical with the upper end to the right and lower end to the left. Sorry for reporting here and not the MS site but the forums don't let my accounts post. Posted: 31 Jul 2020 03:33 PM PDT Pretty sure everyone agrees here... but anyways, I believe there are still some issues regarding melee (and also ranged) units pathing, and they're probably gonna persist for a looooooong time. Im also grateful that the devs are listening to the community and actually trying to solve this every patch. There's one particular bug thats very annoying and it can actually be game deciding on some situations, especially on early castle age fights. For some reason when you patrol or attack move units to a location, they stop right next to that location still in formation and they stay still there for maybe a whole second before actually doing anything. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 02:25 AM PDT I was thinking Thumb ring feels really strong against Knights, such as if you go against Franks or other cavalry civs. As they pursue, hitting and running is effectively +50% more damage as you'll hit every shot. [link] [comments] | ||
Idea : What about making Samurais immune to bonus damages ? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:48 AM PDT Currently, Samurais are a bit meh as an UU. They are slightly better than Japanese Champs but cost +15 food and +10 gold after supplies have been introduced which is quite a big gap for what they get IMHO. Their special is anti-UU damages, but some UU are so good vs infantry that it does not matter that much for many match up. To make them slightly less situational, my idea would be to prevent them from taking bonus damages. This would give them better match up against some UU (Cataphracts, slingers, jaguars and plumes to some extant). This would also make them better at tanking HC, but this part might be optional ; I still think it could give them an additional niche without transforming them into condos since they would still be slow and the won't deal bonus damages to HC either. Posted: 31 Jul 2020 10:55 AM PDT Every night, when I go to sleep, literally every dream I have is about age of empires, like every single one. I just dream of playing a game and thinking what to do and so; dreams can vary a lot, from being just tower rushes to full scale massive feudal age trash wars. I dont know if this is a problem or something, like if my addiction to this game has reached a critical point or so. But you, who are reading this have you ever experienced something like this?
