    Why play AOE3?

    Hey everyone,

    I already pre ordered the game but I'm having a hard time convincing my friends to do it to.

    They play AOE2 almost once a week, and never played AOE3. How do I convince them to follow me to AOE3? What made you make the switch?

    When I bring it up they always say the same arguments. Way more people play AOE2, there are more civs to play in AOE2, the upcomming remake will be medival setting so it is better to play AOE2 "to prepare".

    Where are the mods?

    I've seen only one mod so far in all the time i am here. I would love to apply myself as a moderator.

    If some mod sees this post, there's this one guy named u/sethplayers whos's currently posting lots of aoe2 related posts (i'm going to submit this to the mod-messaging too)

    Out of sync

    I have another question with regards to updating my game after yesterday

    I have the disk version from 07, and I am familiar with version 1.0. I know the update makes balance changes, and I'm not sure I like them. If I do update, does it update the file on the disk, or just the file on the computer? As in, can I update it and still install 1.0 on a different computer, or would it install 1.3?

    Penalised for being a high level player

    I'm lvl 25 at treaty. My win percent is 58. I do lose games. However being kicked from almost every game for being "too good" is one of the uniquely annoying things about the aoe3 community. Like literally just get good. Stop pussying away from competition. When I was a noob, I loved playing against a high level player because that's when I improved. This is so frustrating when even MS will kick me because they don't want to play against a lieut. It's just fucking embarrassing really. I don't want to have to smurf but I'm thinking about it. Rant over.
