    All I can say is big thanks to the community. All the casters and people writing guides are making sure everyone can learn to play the game.

    It's not ranked or anything big, but it just feels like a big accomplishment that I managed to beat the extreme AI on Black Forest in about an hour game time.

    So recently i finished my second run on the campaigns, i had the idea to make a tierlist based on how i felt with the story telling from each campaign (each unique unit is their respective civilization´s campaign). Feel free to debate, that is exactly why i´m posting this.

    How to disable dust particles after a building is destroyed?

    I really dislike that effect but haven't found a way to disable it. Searched for mods, googled, searched reddit but nothing.

    Also, forgot to mention, I would like to keep the particle setting on "high".

    EPIC WORLD MAP Teams of Two.scx

    Credits are in the file's history section. I am the one who did 99.99% of this map.

    This is ready to be used for an 8-player match predetermined as follows:

    PLAYER 1: SPANISH, YELLOW. (¡AGORA!) Start in Toledo with el rey having control of the Vatican and a transport ship ready to embark.

    PLAYER 2: GERMANS, VIOLENT... (NEIN! NEIN! NEIN!) I MEAN "VIOLET." Start in Berlin. Begin with a Teutonic Knight and scout cavalry. Und ein König.

    PLAYER 3: AZTECS, GREEN. Start in Tenochtitlán. Begin with a Jaguar Warrior, a Plumed Archer and an Eagle Warrior as well as a human-sacrificing priest.

    PLAYER 4: MONGOLIA, AQUAMARINE. Start with Chinggis Khan and scout cavalry.

    PLAYER 5: JAPAN, GRAY. Begin with a samurai and a transport ship as well as a dock at Osaka. Kyushu's population: 1 man. Shikoku's population: 1 woman.

    PLAYER 6: INDIA, ORANGE. The Raj has plenty of resources at hand from the start. Begins with a dock at Mumbai.

    PLAYER 7: ARABIA, RED. Start with Mecca, the Dome of the Rock, and immediate access to all of Africa, and a Mameluke. Also, a dock at Zanzibar.

    PLAYER 8: JAVA, BLUE. Represented by the Mayans, you start on the island, making you the closest to coveted Australia. Begin with a spearman and a transport ship.

    I hope this can work. I haven't tested it with humans, only computers.

    All I ask in return is you make a video of your war so I can enjoy watching epicness or funny situations. Later I plan to post my map of EVROPA, my map of Eurasia, and also the one of the Pacific Ocean which includes Hawaii of course. Stay tuned.

    Oh, and here is my explanation for inaccuracies in the map such as how you can sail through Alaska. There is not enough space for all of the world, and I wanted to be able to sail around North America entirely, and also what is now eastern Russia, so I made that possible. Therefore, you can sail from Tasmania to Siberia to Canada to Patagonia making for more strategic potential. Granted, civilizations mastering the seas will have the advantage since almost anywhere can be reached by cannons from galleons, so you better destroy Spain before the imperial age. Not my fault Spain is the cat's meow. If this works out, I can try a different scenario according to demand.

    Viability of a gate rush?

    If a pair of villagers just showed up at your TC in dark age and quickly slapped down 4 palisade gates (or stone if it's a fast feudal), trapping themselves in the TC and locking your villagers either in or out, would you have an effective counter?

    Scroll wheel don't work correctly.

I want put the down scroll wheel to go to the town center. if I have only one town center it work correctly, but if I have more that one when I scroll it only go to the first, and not to the next. I'm playing Age 2013, no DE. How i can config it correctly? Thanks and sorry for my English.

    multiplayer blacked out

    telling me im signed out of xboxlive.

    I bought this through steam, when did i have a xbox account? and why does it matter? when i try click on reconnect multiplayer it tells me unknown error and this top right theres "server maintenance" but when i go official website/twitter etc, no mention of maintenance

    FC into knights and cav archers? Also transition advice please!

    I've been having success with straight knights considering their mobility and ability to smash down palisades really quick. Depending on success I'll add stables and if I've really gotten on top it's just a knight flood until the game is totally unwinnable for the opponent.

    I've been thinking of adding in a range/cav archers instead of a second stable as that'd save gold and food and they could deal with any spears that come out as well.

    I'm just wanting to sense check that, and also if anyone has any good advice on a good transition from knights if they manage to fend off the rush. Currently my transition is slow and that's really hurting me, but usually I go into spears/skirms and a forward castle for cataphracts (I main Byz), but that can be quite slow and resource intensive. Cheers!

    Player statistics- broken

    My only real complaint about definitive edition is the player statistics. I play a lot of custom scenarios such as horde, RPG etc. The chances of winning these are quite slim. I've now seen my statistics says I won 40 games out of 600. This is doesn't actually reflect my actual play. I rarely play standard games online, and it makes me look awful

    Strategy for Archer v Archer Civ ?

    I have noticed that I struggle a lot when playing as an Archer civ vs another Archer civ (I typically just play with Vietnamese) and was looking for some help (~1050 ELO play) .

    The advice I see from some of the pro players is to go for single range skirms which allows you to get a faster castle time. However, whilst I find this works perfectly for stopping any feudal damage it is not strong enough to do any feudal damage yourself and most players just pull their archers back and mass up. Additionally, I then struggle to know what to transition into. I find if I carry on with skirms I get hit by knights or mangos, if I transition knights it is very hard to get the numbers to break their crossbow ball (as i'm starting from 0 upgrades) and if I go mango then any stable units will break me. I know the obvious answer is "scout better", however it is common in games to have lost your scout by this point or for the opponent to hide their transition behind their walls.

    Also to the above I find that if the opponent is Britains then their castle age power spike renders knights and mangos pretty useless :( and my skirms fall apart if they throw in their own mangos.

    Alternatively I know I could just go double range as well and try to out play them at the same strat but then this feels sub-optimal (surely if you know your opponent is double range archers there should be a counter which isn't "do the same").

    Any general advice would be greatly appreciated !
