Failed to Establish Connectivity Posted: 21 Nov 2020 10:40 PM PST When will this issue get fixed? This game is literally unplayable. Currently trying to queue up for the 15th time in a row (team games) after multiple, repeated tries resulted in a Failed to Establish Connectivity issue. Currently been in queue trying to find a game that actually works for going over 2 hours now. This is absolutely unacceptable in a game in 2020. What the fuck is going on? P.S. a third of team games that end up going a little long end up in the game crashing, and there are no "reconnect" capabilities. Fix your damn game. It's a damn shame that this game will end up dying very soon at this rate, since many people simply cant play. [link] [comments]
Missing 2 important filter option in the lobby Posted: 22 Nov 2020 01:20 AM PST There are 2 things missing from the original game:
Hopegully they will add these in the near future to make searching easier. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Nov 2020 01:02 AM PST I have a question(s). I want to do some single-player shenanigans involving hordes of native allies. Just, so damn many. Grabbing all the native villages and flooding the map with them. Going all in on the deck to create my native American hordes. Which maps are best? I tried "Yellow River" and "Large Yellow River" because I was promised by the UI: "Lots and lots of Natives." There were two (2) villages. Is the number of players important? Is free-for-all vs team important? I just want my heterogenous native army. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Nov 2020 12:18 AM PST People who play with me said, Aztec need buff and they are just under powered Incas. I think Aztec are more aggressive than Incas, and their 2 age rush are decent, imo. But anyway I really really hard to see Aztec and also they are some weaker than other civs. How think about Aztec? They need a buff? And if so, What need them? I think anyway their warchief so weak in 1 age hunting, at least need buff for this problem. I think their warchief only hero that can't hunting 80 or 85 woods treasure guard in 1 age. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Nov 2020 12:12 AM PST I want to get a feel for the general consensus on etiquette (if it exists) for FFA/2v2v2..etc games. Most FFA/team plurality games I have played have been really great: weakest links are eliminated somewhat early and stronger players boom to an incredible level... however I have noticed a trend where played who are playing particularly well end up being punished for it. In a 2v2v2 game, my teammate and I boomed and were taking out another team (t2)--it was a very solid battle and all sides played very well, but in the end we were clearly set to overtake them--however another team (t3) was sitting idly by , and ended up helping t2 by not attacking their units, and even sheltering them within their walls in order to help them withstand our attack. I don't understand it. To me, this seems like bad etiquette. I would understand if t3 were to attack one of us to play an opportunistic angle to eventually win the game; but the fact that they went out of their way to deliberately aid the underdog seems in bad faith to me. Whether or not we were on track to win the game is beside the point. What do you all think? Are there unspoken rules of play in these kinds of games, or do we throw it all out the window? Personally, I am tired of letting one player (or team) play kingmaker in ffa style games. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Nov 2020 06:24 AM PST About 2 or 3 patches ago, the devs wrote that they are working on making changes to the Aztec Warchief, but nothing changed. However when it comes to Caroleans, the devs made changes almost immediately. Now Sweden is by no means a bad civ, however Aztec is widely considered the worst Civ by far since the changes to their Warchief. Also having only units which cost wood in Age 2 is a huge disadvantage. Interestingly, changes were made to Inca to one of their units so it now costs gold instead of wood, but nothing was done to Aztec. The Warrior Priest can still not be rallied ontop of the Community Plaza. In the Warchiefs expansion prior to TAD, you could rally priests ontop of the Firepit and they would start dancing. Suddenly this does not work anymore, giving Aztec players additional micromanagement tasks for no reason at all. And of course the fact that Skull Knights are useless because of pitiful 4.0 speed and Jaguar Knights are also not in a great spot. Which didn't change because they chose to change some of the gold costs for their unit cards, but not actually changed the unit themselves. Again, a comparison to Inca: The Macemen, which seem to be inspired by the Skull Knight as they seem to fill the same role, have 4.50 speed. And Inca has many movement speed upgrades for their infantry, so these melee units actually gain movement speed needed to be useful, whereas Skull Knights with their terrible 4.00 speed will forever stay useless. Especially against 10% movement speed upgraded Infantry from the advanced Arsenal, which have 4.40 speed. Sorry for the rant, but as a new player and as someone who enjoys RTS, I'm simply baffled that the devs have not made any balance changes to Aztec even though they made good changes to other civs. Maybe no one cares about Aztec so no one posts about this? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 07:45 PM PST So I read that villagers on rice paddy's don't move. Does this mean that I could have 10/10 villagers on a rice paddy without having slower gather rates vs 7/10? Also is cattle booming with the chinese worth it in treaty? I've been trying it out and have had good luck. It seems more efficient, especially in a team game with the british team card. They gather quicker too if allied with the French in the consulate. I found it especially useful with the overpop 0f 119 villagers, having 70 on coin and 40 on wood. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Nov 2020 03:44 PM PST These have been in the game for a long time now but does anyone have a build order that uses them for a victory? I can see potential for a powerspike revolt for a 5min onslaught until trade monopoly victory. Really just any strat to buy time [link] [comments]
How do I defend against the 8-10 minutes rushes as Sweden? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 05:30 PM PST I'm playing as Sweden in 1v1 and almost every game I get rushes between the 8 to 10 minute mark. Usually at this point I have about 15-20 Corroleon while my opponent usually has about 10-15 cav and another 15-20 infantry. I get steam rolled. I'm following build orders posted by Aussie on YouTube and I can't defend the rushes. I don't know how I can get more units out faster. Edit: Russians are hitting my base at the 7:45 mark with 30-40 Strelet. What am I supposed to do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Nov 2020 06:30 AM PST I really really like skim with heavy cav (although people who play with me said sikm with goon is better). So I played some civs and finally play lakota. Axe riders are real awesome damage and low coin cost, although their hp are low, they are good cav, imo. Bow riders are real weak against skims but their damage real powerful. But I wondered about Wakina. They are cheap but not to much, but too low hp like slinger and 18 range, 4 speed. Can I use them my main units in 3 age? Are they fine against other Skim? Or just use to support my cav? [link] [comments]
Where can I read more about Admiral Jinhai in history? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 02:52 PM PST The library did not have any books about him. I mean he was a great, famous Chinese admiral and was the nephew of the Emperor. He was the first Chinese leader in the Americas that we know of. I would think there'd be more information about him? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 09:06 AM PST For AOE3 DE: PC has 8gb ram and i5 processor which meets the minimum requirements, so presumably with a suitable graphics card the game will work fine? The minimum requirement graphics card they list are about ten years old and not available anymore. How much would a suitable modern card cost? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Nov 2020 08:15 AM PST Really frustrated with how you find games now. In ESO days you would be able to see player ELO/ Rank and could balance teams around that or kick high-low players. I was a "1stLt/Capt" and would play in games from MSgt-Maj. Lot of games end up being waste of time when players are completely different skill level. Cant imagine it's fun for the person just starting out either. Am I missing something - does this feature exist or is it intentionally gone? [link] [comments] |
