I've had a strange AoE2 related thing happen to me in RL. Posted: 06 Dec 2020 07:01 AM PST Sorry for the long-ish text but I need to set it up a bit. It was like one or two years ago but I still sometimes think about it so now I've wanted to share it, 11. I've got into my company car to get to work as usual and was waiting at the traffic lights in front of my home. I've been using a radio-Bluetooth adapter that's plugged into the cigarette lighter and connects to your phone via Bluetooth and to the car with a set frequency via FM radio. I've used 87.5 MHz, the lowest frequency. The adapter wasn't plugged in but the cars radio was set to 87.5 as it normally was so all that you've got was some static sound or snippets of other radio stations indistinguishably overlapping. But this time around it caught a rather clearly distinguishable, calm, English speaking voice in a low volume (it was in the center of Munich, Germany, hence the rather weird occurrence to hear somebody talk in English). Well that was funny, so I've turned the volume up to hear if I can catch any of it. It was Spirit of the Law, talking about horse archers, pierce armor and what not for like 5-10 seconds until it cut off again. I was left baffled as I've watched him some months prior to that on a regular basis, I've checked my phone immediately but it was neither connected in any way of course and no app was running. Then I've thought about my PC at home as I was like 30m away from it but it was neither plugged in and it's only connected via Ethernet cable, too, located on the 4th floor. Byzantine Paladins Posted: 05 Dec 2020 09:51 PM PST While we all know that the worst of the paladins is the celtic one, the byzantine doesnt lag far behind it. Whats your guys thoughts on extending the 33% off imperial age bonus to the paladin upgrade itself? What of going further and doing the same with HCA upgrade? Both of these are units which byzantines dont really want to go for that often, especially CA but its not too far fetched for them to go for the units given the CA is innately powerful with its high attack & even the fat cavalier that the byzantine paladin is, its still powerful. Fully upgraded kamuyuks have 6 pierce armor iirc so skirms/hca don't do much, and they deal +12 dmg to knights so paladins don't do much either. Huns don't get champions, hand cannons, or onagers. Crashes in 2020 Posted: 06 Dec 2020 07:22 AM PST Sorry, i need to vent. It is so frustrating to play the game, doesnt matter if it is 1v1 oder TGs and like every 10 games it just crashes without a reason at all. Sometimes you get an error, sometimes you get nothing at all. Some games are like already 30+ minutes into the game and it crashes. Its disgusting how much waste of a time that is for us players. You play such a long time to then end up having literally wasted like half of the time most of us get to play the game a day. If at all. Stop with the balancing updates, stop everything. What do you feel about the Indian Camel nerfs? Posted: 05 Dec 2020 11:34 PM PST I'm not sure. They went from having 4/5 armor in imp a long time ago and taking little bonus dmg from spears to now 2/4 and much more bonus dmg(though still slightly less than regular cav). How to weaken boar with TC? Posted: 06 Dec 2020 04:29 AM PST Yes, I know you can shoot the boar with garrisoned vills to weaken it, but my question is that often during streams I see the cursor turning into a flag while the vills are inside the TC shooting at the boar, this is something I've never noticed while playing, which begs the question - What is the established 'meta' of weakening a boar with TC?
