    X-mark (ping) should be more relevant and precise.

    I know X-marking is mostly useless in 1v1's, but I feel that in multiplayer games it should behave more precise.

    Compared to other RTS games and MOBA's it would be useful to be able to ping our allies the exact position on the map. It should show the X-mark icon position on our map and the minimap. The gameplay would largely improve for example: - ping the exact location of the hole in the wall - allert allies which unit is being converted - give the precise location of our units if ally does not have a market - and many more

    Furthermore, I find the current state of sound effect and X effect opaque when multiple pings are showing.

    After 20 years, finally playing with friends again !

    I played AoE2 20 years ago, for thousand of hours.

    I picked it up again for 20-30 hours when HD came out, but friends weren't interested, and i ended up dropping it as well.

    I picked it up again when DE came out, but friends weren't interested at the time, and the number of bugs in online play made me stop too.

    A couple weeks ago everyone randomly got back into it and we've played almost every day against AI.

    And now even some 2v2 ranked ! I just finished my last placement game, in what is probably my favorite game ever. I will never again win a game with opponents resigning at 24min because i killed 2 buildings and both were TC :D

    Onwards toward 100s of games and 100s of hours of fun ! And hope i will improve, haha

    Anyone watching this? I really like his plan to give tips on, at each level, specific things you can/should work on. I can watch plenty of videos that just generally give advice on how to Get Good, but it's a LOT more useful to me at 1k to have some specific advice on "Around 1k, here are some things to focus on that should help you improve"

    What do you think is best for Japanese in feudal age? 20 pop maa into 1 range archers or a straight 21 pop double range archer rush? I feel maa has the best immediate impact but needs to do damage straight away to be worth it going forward.

    So I just played a ranked team game with my team having three players in the 1000 TG elo range. The opposing team had: a 2100 player (???), a 1400 player, and an unrated player who seemed to be about as good as the 1400 player. Obviously we got steamrolled, the 2100 player pretty much beat us by himself, and at no point did any of us have a higher score than any of them except early Dark Age. How is this considered fair matchmaking?

    Best strategy ever

    I was playing with some friends and they had a long treaty so I decided to take advantage of that and send petards to surround all of their important buildings and was able to wipe a lot of their buildings very quick. Any tips on how to counter this when they eventually turn it on me?

    If I buy Lords of the West, can I use new civs against who didn't buy it?

    Pretty much it. I'll buy the new dlc if I get to play the new civs whenever I want and against whoever I want. If I depend on others players having it, doesn't make sense to me.

    Is this already answered by the devs?
