Suggestion to the developers: Make Small Trees an in-game option rather than a mod.

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 10:53 PM PST

With patches coming out regularly, your first game usually ends up being played with Small Trees disabled. Meanwhile, things like Age-up sounds get enabled automatically, lest you be alert enough to make sure you don't complete the challenges by mistake.

This doesn't make sense at all. Since it's an asset mod, it can and should be possible to integrate it into the base game and have an option in the game settings to enable/disable it. I'm not asking about other asset/graphic mods that people might use. Small trees needs to be an in game option like the terrain grid at this point.

How perfect are your Feudal times?

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 04:58 AM PST

As I recently started to pay more attention to this, I noticed that even for the builds I consider myself experienced with, I'm still 10 to 15 seconds off of the perfect Feudal time. Which made me wonder: How close are other non-pros to that time? Obviously I assume this gets better at higher ELO. My 10-15 seconds are at around 1.2k (+/- 100 ELO). How close are you?

If you don't know the perfect times, your find them for instance here: https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/comments/5nt7v1/perfect_feudal_and_castle_times/

Low Elo players, join League of Empires

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 01:44 AM PST

So there's this 3v3 League by u/lordmwa that covers all Elo ranges, and I want to sign up with two friends. Our 1v1 Elo ranges from 750-950, and in order to stand a chance in some of the games, I encourage all low Elo players to sign up aswell. All further info:

    Do goth counter Korean?

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 03:42 AM PST

I know goths considered low teir, but koreans also lack blast furnace, and their infantry production is much slower. Do koreans have a reasonable way to beat goth besides early cheese?

What are good resources to start getting into the game? What are good YouTube channels to binge to learn more about the game?

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 12:57 AM PST

Right now I'm watching Resonance22Channel, are there other YouTube channels to check out? Or any websites that are good to spend some time reading?

Improving late game expansion and harassment/defense of such.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 02:22 AM PST

Lately ive been practicing quite a bit of build orders, boom/general macro, basically everything i can polish out of game agaisnt extreme AI or ciceros interactive BOs. I feel that most of the things are easily trainable and even if when applying to an actual game it wont translate perfectly, it will still be usefull. I tried training late game expansion, harrasment and general strategy choices agaisnt extreme AI. However i feel the AI lacks either skill to last until such a late game or lacks the actual expansion, as in most cases their base is compact and the only expansion he does is random buildings with no real purpose. Adding to that the strategy and individual unit micro of the AI just doesnt translate at all to real games. Any way to polish those areas without having to go through 30+ min games. There probably isn't but just in case i want to ask you guys see if i am missing something.
