    Even after the nerfs to food and coin income from today's patch, Having camayos in the deck can make a difference. No matter supremacy late game or treaty. Just for comparison, Yellow and Red are Inca. Blue is china and purple is ports.

    Was it intentional? Couldnt find it in the patch description, but it seems extreme AI became quite dumb again, marching cavalry against my pikes and stuff.

    Why do we like Age 3 instead of Age 2 ??

    I'm making a video of why do I like Age 3 more then Age 2, not in a toxic way , I got my points and stuff but I want others pints of view too, so could you guys tell me why do u guys prefer Age 3 instead of 2 !!!? I'll appreciate a lot ☺️🙏🏼( please not insults or hate to any game)

    Age of Empires III Definitive Edition doesn't start

    I downloaded via Microsoft Store / Game Pass on my PC. If I start it, I get a little splash screen overlay which stays there (it seems indefinitely). No loading bar or anything like that.

    I tried starting as administrator. Nothing happens at all when I do that.

    Any help?

    Hi everyone,

    I noticed that after the update, the AI no longer selects a deck, no longer sends shipments and no longer makes appropriate counters.

    I only play Extreme (or Hardest with friends).. i have some recorded games as well as proof. I hope there's a fix in the way.

    I know a lot of you just play MP, but is there a way the developers will notice if all of the community reports the issue. I really love compstomp and if the AI gets retarded, I would be devastated.

    Will Aoe4 kill this game?

    I'm worried because of how small the player base already is. Unlike aoe2 we can't really afford any losses. That said, a lot depends on how good aoe4 is. Thoughts?

    Very Recent Performance Issues

    My game has been running like trash for about a week. I've been Playing since November with no issues but recently my game has been crashing every time I save a new deck, choose a new civ while in a lobby and as soon as a match ends. I've also been having an issue with starting multiplayer games, it just counts down to 0 but never starts. I have reinstalled the game twice and had no luck solving these issues. It's so odd because I have never had any performance issues whatsoever until about a week ago and they all started piling on top of each other. Any suggestions?

    One thing I never understood about unit modes

    For most units this is very intuitive: they switch to their melee weapons and use their hand damage stats when they got involved in close combat, even when they're in volley/stagger mode, etc.

    However, the attack animations for some units are not so intuitive:

    (1) Most ranged cavalry would still fire their firearms/bows in close combat, unless you manually switch them to melee mode (where they use swords). Does that count as melee damage or ranged damage?

    (2) Some units like pistoleros use the same animation for ranged and melee mode. So when they get into close combat in volley/stagger mode, do they do ranged or melee damage?
