- Why was Russia nerfed with the extensive fortifications card last patch? The Asian nations and the native Americans get to keep theirs and their war huts and castles are arguably the same or better than blockhouses. This was is a nation that already struggles hard in the mid to late game.

Are there things that you hope Aoe4 will have that are different to either of these games? Are there things that Aoe3 did better than Aoe2 that you hope continues into Aoe4 in some way, and vice versa? I still play 2 more than 3. This seems to then impact creating units as well because the hotkeys are formatted by Rows and Columns (which is by far the most frustrating hotkey system I've ever come across). Any tips I'm missing? Also is there a way to select all units on the screen without double clicking (e.g. holding CTRL and clicking one unit like in sc2)? [link] [comments] | ||

I watch Aussie drongos vids, know to always make settlers, use counters, get upgrades and even do some skirm micro! (On a good day) That said, I've found it really difficult to play team games due to usually at least one person being completely incompetent. Just basic stuff like still in age 1 after 9 minutes. | Posted: 02 Mar 2021 11:34 AM PST Hey! I am fairly new to the AOE franchise and typically play AOE3TAD. I have tried the ottoman, Britts, japs, French and I am still so bad. I feel like I'm missing something. I can start strong and I can follow a starting build order but I always get crushed mid to late game. I'm terrible at rushing and never sure when to attack and seems like I never am in control I'm always in reacting mode. Every time I play online even in the noob games people get mad and annoyed with how bad I am:( I feel terrible about it but I don't know what to do next. | What Should I Change? Treaty Eco Strategy Advice Posted: 02 Mar 2021 02:26 PM PST I tend to have a weaker eco than other players regardless of what civ I'm playing. As an example, I've played team games where my teammate has the same civ as me and we have near identical decks, but their score throughout the game and endgame eco stats are higher than mine. I don't understand how as I have most of the late-game eco cards and focus on upgrading upgrading market/farms/plantations when I deem it necessary. But I wonder whether there's a more precise strategy for this? I'm unsure whether its the deck, whether I need to age up with less settlers/wait longer to use certain market upgrades or something else Any ideas? [link] [comments] | ||
