    from supporting the pro players in the development choices fixing buggs quickly letting the community vote on maps and sponsoring tournaments. Microsoft really does alot for this community and when you compare it to other games like in my case csgo and their relationship to the developer i think many dont know how good we have it

    I'm 1270-1350 ELO getting sick of playing against

    • players that on aoe2.net have an ELO graph which shows them spiking up to 1500 and then down to 1100 and then up, and then down and then up... You get the picture. Often they're close games, sometimes I win, but they are clearly better. The only thing I can do here is improve, but omg it is annoying

    • players that haven't played for 3 months, played 20 games on acc previously, log back into account and have perfect and I mean PERFECT macro we're talking uninterrupted villie production through to 115 pop. (I know I'm not the best, but 1300 is top 10% of players globally. You need some practice for this, surely) Perfectly balanced eco. I mean, I KNOW it's possible and that I just again, need to get better, but at my level, I struggle to believe that there are people with that level of skill. It genuinely feels like there are keybind macros in play there.

    In conclusion.

    Players are better than me.

    I wish they weren't.

    Are we ever going to get a fix for teams elo? Feels like you can predict the game just by how many games your allies have played.

    When and how often do you use Unique Units?

    I know 20 years ago my 12 year old self picked Byzantines Turks and Teutons just for the unique unit. I know double castle arambi and conqs used to be a favorite. I'm asking in 1 v 1 random maps what situations do you go UU? Example I think boyars are great and I like slavs but I basically forget about them. Another example I think most people will agree beserks are fantastic but when will you use them? I'd like to add more potential options to my game

    Change tech name/description/cost/research time in scenario editor

    all these effects doesn't seem to work, except that if you change tech cost (i tried UT), it changes the cost even AFTER i removed the effect !! Is there a way to change tech name or is it sth like buggy (atm)?

    It works by exploiting mod priority.

    If you put any event mods below this mod in your mod list, they will be overridden by the default files in this mod.

    Meanwhile, all the mods you want active should be given a higher priority.

    Out of sync error?

    Is this a common thing? It happened a few times for me already

    Was just in a 4v4 game where enemies rushed my base so had to relocate, even tho I built my tc and everything else outside my allies's bases, I went to build a market on my ally's base to actually make trading profitable

    Even tho I placed one single building, he throws a tantrum by locking his gate and ruining my whole trade. So I responded the same way and built a wall around his market. Before I could finish, I got the sync error, apparently it crashed the game

    Petty tantrums aside, this could be serious if you could just prevent a loss by desyncing the game

    Finding other players/groups

    Just wondering the best way to find other players for regular enough games? Either team games and/or 1 v 1

    ELO is around 800, so obviously not at a high level.

    Enjoy ranked but sometimes a bit of familiarity with who you're playing is fun. Only demand would be that I am immediately recognised in said group as King Sir Captain
