| I cannot believe they are adding Spanish to AOE2 Posted: 04 Apr 2021 09:06 PM PDT There was no "Spanish civilization" at the beginning of AOE2, which is the collapse of WRE, when Spain was literally "Goths". Spain as a country did not even exist until late 15th which is almost at the end of the game. They do not fit with the game's timeline. Goths already represent Spain. They have gunpowder units. If I want to use Spain I can simply play as Goths. BTW, I cannot believe they are adding Carthaginians to AOE1. Carthaginians did not exist for most of the time periods of the game and they are literally a successor to Phoenicians. If I want to use Carthage I can simply play as Phoenicians. | Posted: 04 Apr 2021 10:28 PM PDT Many people are butthurt about the backlash against the USA civ. I get them, I really do. But please try to understand that the white man's civilizations are already more than well represented in the game. Yes, I understand it makes people very happy and represented to have their own country recognized as an AoE3 faction, but think of the people who haven't been represented at all in this game, such as African civilizations. Maybe they deserve some love too? Maybe some of them were waiting eagerly to see themselves be represented in the game and were sad to see that the new civ is the USA. Personally, it is a disappointment for me if the USA is the ONLY new civ being added. I don't mind them as an addition if they also have other civilizations coming alongside. [link] [comments] | ||

By the time i get into a match everybody has already left. Also i can still hear music when the loading screen gets stuck. Does enybody know how to fix this cuz i really wanna play multiplayer. I copied most of mine from AussieDrongo's discord but theey are jsut bread and butter (solid decks but kind of staple). Their Cronstedt reforms card now affects only heavy cannons, falconets and leather cannons. What do their caseshot card do? I remember it used to cause a +7s being displayed when fired but I don't that happens these days. What is it like today? Has it been reworked too? Has their Barrage card been nerfed too? I am talking about the one that allows mortars to attack units. Do people still use their mercenaries? I'm asking all this particularly in connection to treaty games. Can I see your treaty decks? | Posted: 04 Apr 2021 02:49 AM PDT For varying the choices about nations and to make the game more enjoyable (for me) I think it can be evaluated that countries that existed in the 19th century but did not have a colonial history should be taken into the game. Although some of them do not have a colony, these states that have fought with the colonizing countries throughout history will add fun to the game. We will both bring many nations to the game and the historical integrity will not be spoiled, because if we consider only colonist states, in my opinion it is not possible to add many nations to the game. My suggestions are:
