I made an AoE Millionaire Quiz app To Challenge Your Game Knowledge

    Hello Beloved Community❤️,

I had some spare time lately so I made AoE Millionaire Quiz

    AoE Millionaire Quiz

You will be asked 15 random questions about Age of empires 2 ranging from easy to hardest. The questions are mostly educational and tackle different aspects of the game so at the end of the game you should learn something new.

The game includes a Leaderboard to spice things and a handpicked guides section.

If you guys like this kind of educational content I will most definitely add lots of questions on a regular basis.

Have Fun ( and do not forget to turn on the sound)

Help me out with archers please @ 13xx

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 12:38 AM PDT

I'm around a 13xx player. My stats show that I have a win rate of ~70% with cav civs, ranging from 66% with Slavs to 80% with Lithuanians. I have a decent-ish eAPM (~45).

However my win rate with archer civs is atrocious. Pretty much all in the 40% and some even lower (12.5% with Koreans).

I've decided to improve with archers. I learned Hera's Japanese M@A into Archers build and so far it has allowed me to inflict severe damage on my opponents in feudal and get up to castle first 6/8 times I've tried it on the ladder.

However I just don't get how to push on from there. Archers are really expensive. To afford a university, bracer and ballistics is like 800 wood. Then you need a siege shop and siege to actually push and you need to do it fast before the opponent can mass knights. I feel like I can't afford extra TCs. Two to three mangonels pretty much nullify my threat. My base without extra TCs is like a sitting duck. When the opponent inevitably sends a ball of knights there, it takes ages for my archers to head back and totally relieves pressure on their base.

I need some pointers. How to turn the early game advantage into a win with archers. The things I'm currently paying attention to are:

    • preserving archers numbers in feudal and joining up groups of archers before castle since they will scale well into xbow (i.e. not throwing archers to fights I can't convincingly win)

    • having my army ready to hit as soon as xbow and bodkin come in to exploit the power spike

    • having two vills forward the second castle age comes in to drop the forward siege shop

    • prioritizing bow saw

Hoping to get some more good pointers from players who have good success with archers on how to improve my archer win rate.

How about we skirmisher rush the AI instead of archer rushes?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 02:17 AM PDT

Think about it... Archers are countered by cavalry and skirmishers, and mainly only skirmishers in Feudal Age... So if the AI always attacks with archers in feudal age/ retaliates with skirmishers, how about we use skirmishers ourselves? We defend better and attack better? But seriously why are archer rushes more popular than Skirmisher Rushes?

Pro tip (or maybe total noob tip idk) you can use the monk retargeting trick to do more than just delay castles

    New Civilizations

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 05:14 AM PDT

Little game I wanna play. You are in charge of making the next 4 DLC's but each has a theme (has to do with the region) and you can only choose 2 new civilizations for each civilization. I am leaving out Europe since we have had two European DLC's so far. What would they be?
    The Regions:
    Africa:
Southern Asia (think of nations around the Indian Ocean as well as the islands of the Pacific):
    Asia:
    America's:

    Hardest campaign?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 06:17 PM PDT

Hey guys, I've been playing aoe2 DE for a month now and I'm really enjoying it. I got through all of the single sword difficulty campaigns. I'm now about to finish the Saladin campaign. I was just wondering what you guys think is the hardest campaign in the game? Should I be expecting trouble from now on?

I'm mostly a noob (less than 200 hours of gameplay in total), but I love the game, and I'm looking for a coach to help me improve my game.

If you are a decent player, willing to teach this terrible, but eager to learn, player, send me a dm ith an offer.

    Thank you

    Replace Teuton Paladin with Ritterbruder

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 01:38 PM PDT

The Ritterbruder just look amazing! I'd love it if the new DLC replaced paladin with it, even if it's just a re-skin.

What's been your worst losing streak?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 10:17 AM PDT

I had a day off work, so I managed to play around 8,9 games. I lost all of them! I dropped from 1300 to 1100. Still, part of the game I guess?
