Is it me or Ethiopia and Hausa just feels like Age of Mythology civilisations?

IDK how I put this together but both civilisations were too much easy learn just because of this fact. Ethiopians feel like AOM Greeks (collecting from temple) while Hausa feels like Egyptians (priests boosting production). Maybe it is just me.

Calling it - African Civs are Insanely OP right now

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 07:17 PM PDT

More so than Sweden was. Where are all of the posts talking about it? Huge nerf incoming is what everyone is saying, right? Or will we wait "45 days" for them to sort things out like last patch?

No matter what you do, their rush potential is way too insane, and if you leave them alone and try to boom - you auto-lose as well. It doesn't matter that they're "hard to play", once you figure out the timings and BO, any match where both players are competent will almost always result in a loss. I was top 200 and losing all my matches to worse players who are just rushing hard with lots of units with high HP and high attack. That Russia nerf as I said in another post is REAL btw, way too weak early-game and needed a mid-game boost without a nerf.

What the heck is this. It's a ranged cavalry which throws grenades. I play India and I was not able to counter him with my gurkha, zamburak and howdah then how tf am I supposed to deal with this unit ? I saw him for first time in my whole aoe3 life.

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 06:43 PM PDT

i'm a noob player, i play vs bot. i'm learning how to play with dutch.. but this civ is so weak i think, i see videos and the beginning for dutch is building banks, but making this i'm so vulnerable and the AI rushes me every game even i'm doing well the build order that they teach on youtube..

    Griot for Hausa

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 12:32 PM PDT

What is the reason to have different dances? The game doesn't describe the benefit of clicking (q,w,e,r). It just describes what the Griot will animate. Can anyone break down the benefit of each dance? Also is it good to put multiple Griot on the same building? Or should the 5 be boosting different buildings at the same time?

How to improve the outlaw build order?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 06:15 AM PDT

Alright gents, I've been doing the outlaw build order from no-idle-tc.com for the USA and it's been working out well. I've beaten people better than me and in the top 600 1v1 with it, but is there anything we can do to make it better or make it work on maps without a trading post?

Here's the build order: 1st shipment: chinese immigrants (make 2 tp) 2nd shipment: advanced saloon Age up with Massachusetts 3rd shipment: the one that converts food to gold 4th shipment: dance halls or Arkansas post 5th shipment: whatever you didnt send in the 4th, or gold gather upgrades if you already made more saloons

This gets 20 gunslingers by 7 mins if done right (or less of the others)

What I want to discuss is how do we make this better. Can we work dutch immigrants in there or somehow boost our gold production?

The one thing I've noticed with this is that my saloon sits idle while I wait for the Massachusetts shipment to come in. Maybe we can swap out out chinese immigrants with something?

    Any thoughts?

    Ethiopia Passive Healing

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 08:23 PM PDT

I've noticed random Ethiopian units will show an aura and start healing without an Abuns nearby. Is there an explanation for this mechanic anywhere? I can't seem find it in the civ description or release notes.

    Hotkeys between civs

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 11:23 AM PDT

Does everyone map their building hotkeys by row, or is there a way to map the hotkeys to the type of building?

E.g. Q = house for a Euro civ, or shrine for Japanese

As it stands, when I switch between civs, many of the buildings get jumbled around in the build table which throws me off.
