Age of Empires 3 We all love to be respected, right?

I have had the definitive edition since it came out and have been playing it without much of an issue, however, due to some inexplicable reason, whenever I attempt to join a multiplayer game the loading times are absurdly long. This issue has surfaced before but very sporadically and about 5 months ago, but since then I have not been able to play a proper multiplayer game. This in turn has made me frustrated and annoyed. I have looked into the issue before and exempted the game from any anti-virus software, but that does not help. Interestingly enough, whenever the loading screen gets stuck in the image that accompanies this post, the sounds of the map become audible and I can hear the chat commands of the other players. I am unsure what to make of this and I welcome any suggestions.

Aoe 3 and DE / state of the game and balance

Hi, I have played aoe 3 from 2005-2007 (around ~2300-2400 elo at the time) and stopped at the end of TWC (turned 16 and started drinking alcohol etc. lol). However I never got into any other game since then and I have never lost my love for aoe 3. I followed the news and beta around aoe 4 for years but haven't played it myself. But I recently started playing a few games on the original aoe3 TAD on eso to see if it's still fun and I'm planning on getting DE and aoe 4 also.

What is really hard for me is to get a feeling for the power level of each civ and since there are so many new ones introduced especially in DE I have no idea about the games balance. I've never played the Asian civs let alone the DE ones.

Can someone summarize the games state of the original patch aoe 3 tad and the latest DE patch and let me know which civs are seen as OP/UP, why, what strats they use and what they are weak against? That would help me very much.

What Native civ is most balanced?

I'm just getting into MP, had my first two matches today as Iro and Aztecs and got thrashed both times. I want to step back and rethink my faction choice though since I don't know the meta very well, I've been playing against bots since 2005 but I'm garbage against humans.

My first game I got punished for not building walls and British hussars wiped out 10 villagers on a hunt which my tomahawks couldn't respond to before hussars galloped on their merry way which makes me nervous about picking the Sioux since while they're faster they don't have walls. The Iro have mediocre cavalry according to one guide I found and musketriders don't come out age 2 so I was just helplessly too slow to respond and spent the rest of the game with no economy. My second game I played as the Aztecs and had more success locking off half the map with a forward wall and trading well with slingers against Jannisarries but at least as I've played them in the past i've found them hard to use and low power. I have almost no experience with the Inca so I'm kinda hesitant to choose them even more so than any of the others but if they're worth learning I'll give them a chance.

people say there is two African civ... however I'll say its wrong and there is actually THIRD "African" civ...
