I. The Mountain Monastery.

First off, lets get it out of the way that "gather yield" percentage increase describe how much a single unit of Gold from mines may "yield", with 200% yield rate, you get 2 gold out of 1 gold on the mine, a goldmine yielding 5000g will now yield possibly 10000g instead. This can often mean Ethiopia never have to resort to less efficient methods to get their gold.

They get a card (Lalibela Rock Church in age 2) that increase yield when villager/abun gather from the mine by 25%, and 100% ( to 200%) when the monestary mine themself, right?

YES, but not the way you might think

When the villlager/abun gather from that mine, they get a total of 100% + 100% + 25% = 225% gather yield. a silver mine(2500g) now yield 6250 g when mined by the villager, if you have the improvement that let them self-gather, they only have 200% yield when no vill is gathering them.

They are like the Swedish Torps if you get that self-gather improvement, if you go age 2 -> Habesha and invest 500 Influence into them.

Also, they give HUGE LOS (38)giving you map vision, compared to a Watch Tower, which is supposed to be superior to Outpost with their LOS (32), is inferior.

II. Coffee Berries.

Coffe Berries is a card that basically turn every berry bush group into a gold mine, the gather rate of coin on berry bushes is exactly TIED to and only to the gather rate of food on those very same berry bushes. For example, without upgrades, a vill has 0.67f/s gather rate on berries. If you ship Coffee Berries, you can gather exactly 0.67g/s. If you have ANY gather rate bonuses from ANY source that affects Berry gathering, it will apply to Coin gathering on berries as well. These upgrade bonuses (theoretically) includes some Native improvements:

Akan: Akan Cocoa Beans (+30%)

Bakti: Vegetarianism (+40%)

With all the upgrades that affect berry gather for the Ethiopians (including the granary aura), you can reach 1.14c/s, nearing that of a max gather rate european civ on estates (~1.2g/s). You can reach this, without spending a single wood into Field upgrades. This does takes 4 Home shipment cards, tho.

So yes, if you play on a berry-heavy map, especially one with few mines, and don't use a deck that utilizes this, you are missing out a wacky eco mechanic.

So yeah, do try it, then come back to me, BEAN JUICE FTW!!!!:D

Im playing aoe3 now for 800h+ and still having fun as i had when i played it back in the days. Over time i improved my game (strats, hotkeys, tutorials etc). But somehow im stucked with build orders i learned through youtube. Sometimes it feels like im not able to react and when im not able to stick to my gameplan i f*** up. With my main civ i can switch pretty smooth, cause i know them. Now i want to learn a new civ. My first intention: watch youtube tutorials, strats etc. But im asking myself now if this is the right move. Would you guys recommend to learn civs by yourself through playing freestyle? How do you guys learn new civs?

I have trouble reaching the 6+ numbers because of short fingers. Aussie suggest 1 for explorer, 2 for scout, 5 for TC. So that only leaves 2 and 3 left for me :( I think I need at least 3 groups for army and some more groups for production right?

I even had a dream about me playing a modern remake of Aoe3. Somebody send some help.

Funny thing is I would play 3-4 games a week before the stress test and now I'm playing that many each day

Disconnecting every game? Just me?

Atm im disconnecting every game and a bug makes it impossible to rejoin.... Cuz everytime you "rejoin it speeds up the game and there after its disconnects me again and it continues until the game is lost or I quit...
