    I love those dudes, but they feel so useless

    They are supposed to counter infantry, but their abysmal range and speed make them impossible to get to the targets they are supposed to hit. They are basically hand Cavalry with very little HP and speed.

    TBH I think changing their bonus to against hand Cavalry and shock Infantry, or at least remove the penalty against Cavalry and shock Infantry would make them still having a place in this game, as those are the only targets they are capable of hitting.

    Maya Revolt Bug?

    I was playing around with the Mayan revolt for Mexico and noticed something odd. Their core mechanic is that each shipment increases the build limit for the Javelineer by 2. I had allied the Mayans twice at trading posts, once with the card from the Yucatan Revolt, and I think once through the Mayan revolt itself, so each shipment increased the build limit by 8.

    Has anyone else noticed this? Is this intended behavior?

    Camera panning AOE4 feature into AOE3

    Is there a way to mimic the AOE4 Map panning feature of holding the middle mouse button down and dragging around to pan? My friends play AOE3nonDE due to their slow computers and I'd like to still have this little quality of life feature. Thanks in advance. COMMANDMENT

    Someone claimed the veteran musketeer in the original game had a tricorne, but simply did not look like one because of low poly model.

    But low poly tricornes existed in the original game. Militia units all had tricornes. There is also a cinematic musketeer that had a tricorne. The veteran musketeer model had a much flatter and wider hat with more angles (even in the low-poly world the militia hats had a clear triangular shape), and if you remove the white brim (like the old DE veteran musketeer model), it's clearly not a tricorne.

    Since one cannot post images in replies, I'm putting them here for better comparison.

    To progress in the Fiesta Mexicana event you have to revolt 3 times to American nations - you need to have purchased the Mexican DLC to do this, is that right?

    hey there. been trying to get this game to run since it got released last year. the problem is as soon as i join a friends game and we start it, its stuck in the loading screen at like 33%. ive tried alot like reinstalling, make an exception in my avast-antivir or deactivate avast completely... been big fan since its original release back then and its heartbreaking not beeing able to play it.

    any kind of tip is appreciated :)

    AoE3: DE - Fiesta Challenge nowhere to be found. Replaced with Bombard Brawl?

    Has anyone been able to see or participate in the Fiesta challenge today? It is missing from my GUI and currently is replaced with a generic "Challenges" button that only has Bombard Brawl inside.

    Edit: I hadn't bought Mexico DLC. When I bought it and logged back in, it was there. Could be coincidence or cause.

    How the hell do you get the Zapotecs?

    I'm trying to grind my way down the Mexican event and I can't get the Zapotecs to spawn. Every configuration of the recommended Mexico map only spawns Apache and Navajo in the exact same places.

    What if we have Revolution added to US after Mexico shown us

    now we have Mexico which shown proper implementation of Revolution in American Civ. should we consider rework revolution into US, like revolting into Franklin(III), Muskogee (III), Philippines(V), Union and Confederate (IV)?

    Yeah I know not many Chinese have that hairstyle before the Qing dynasty. But British still use longbows, Germans and Dutch do not have musketeers, French still have a Bourbon flag. So it is not a problem at all.

    Changing the hairstyle to actual Ming Chinese is kowtowing to Chinese market and political correctness.

    Game keeps crashing when I try to select Empire.

    I have no idea why or how, but since a couple of updates ago I got a bug that caused the game to instantly CTD whenever I try to select what empire I want to play as in a skirmish.

    I honestly have 0 clue why or how and any help at all will be deeply appreciated.

    I always used to love zenata riders, they are probably one of my favourite units but people always used to say they're bad and I think really they're just misunderstood I think they are pretty insane but fragile in small numbers , glad to see kaiserklein thinks the same

    Be careful when switching to defense mode

    With the new larger selection limit, the very old problem of units freezing (especially melee units) when switching to defense made has been made a lot worse, with 95 units all switching to defense mode can cause the game to stall and straight up crash in multiplayer.

    you can also just rapidly switches between stances to force a stall or a crash in the game.

    Bring back the baractu upgrade for Ottoman grenadiers. It sounds super cool.

    Bring back the ikko ikki as the hero of Tokugawa shogunate. He looks super cool.

    Bring back the Manchu-hairstyled sailor in Ming dynasty. He looks super cool.

    Bring back ashigaru with bayonets. He looks super cool.

    Bring back the 18th century musketeer with wide-brim hat. He looks super cool.

    Games are supposed to be fun. Censoring the game for the sake of accurate representation is political correctness.

    But do not add US or Mexico because they are not historically accurate.

    Started playing AoE3: DE a lot more the past month and I've been enjoying it. Who do you enjoy watching? I'm trying to add more to my watch list for when I'm about to sleep.

    I currently watch ESOCTV and a bit of Widgie. You can shamelessly plug yourself too! I don't mind the elo as long as the person (or you are) is entertaining. Thanks in advance!
