| How should Korea Peninsular map be? Posted: 21 Jan 2022 12:20 AM PST Saw several posts asking orean civilization to be added, but how about the Penisular itself as a playable map? How should it be? Should the map represent the whole Korea, or it could be separate into a few more maps? Inland or Coast map? Lots of mountains full of choke points but build-able lands in limited supply? Who should be the local village to build trading posts at? Kimchi as a native tech that boost Farm production, playing on limited agriculture production and the constant need to preserve and stretch food supply since the time of ancient Choson? (In real life, was it cold, short raining season or lack of cultivable land or something that had the work cut out for Korean farmers compare to Honshu, Yellow River and Pearl Delta counterparts?) | Aussie Drongos unit tier lists Posted: 21 Jan 2022 01:10 AM PST so a while ago, aussie drongo made tier lists for all the units in the game, going type by type but the thing is, those lists are now outdated. for starters, there are 4 NEW CIVS that were released since those original videos published. in addition, he never actually got around to getting all the unit types and since he's OBVIOUSLY not interested in coming back to finish them and since its pretty unlikely we will be getting any new civs in the near future... I'm gonna do it! my channel will have the updated tier lists for all the units, including the new civs and taking balance changes into account. 1 video per unit type, going one by one down the list of types, and I'm gonna start with the category he never got to: artillery so if you are subscribed to my channel already, look forward to it. if you're not, check my channel out! | How beat Otto FF or age 2 rush Posted: 20 Jan 2022 06:51 PM PST I usually play as Britain vs Otto. For me I think the problem with Otto is that I never know if he goes age 2 early rush or FF and by the time I know its already/almost too late for me to act. I know the explorer is key but what if he builds forward base a secret place with 1 vill? If I ship 700w and then ship 6 musk and train 5 musk I think I can withstand his first wave. But what if he goes fast FF? Then I am in trouble and he probably has 2 falcs and 15 Janis in my base long before I am in age 3. Those 210 hp Janis can really make trouble in age 2 if I am going semi FF. I am ranked about #900 and have beaten seveal #700 ranked players. So not total noob but not pro either. I have maybe 500 hours in DE by now. How to widen my awareness how to figure out what Otto player will do? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 20 Jan 2022 10:47 AM PST Usually I dont have problem with being rushed by Otto in age 2 as Britian but this time I lost somehow against a less skilled player. I am ranked about #900 and he #1300. I raided his vill with hussars and killed several vills but he just spammed jani with 210hp and just ate up my 150hp muskets in my base. I had 10 vill in TC and and outpost and muskets and some Lomgbows but he spammed constantly jani and they just tanked up all the damage and killed all my military. Is otto jani rush a bit OP in age 2? In the Replay I saw I herded bad and also microed not optimal and should built better Base for defence. But still he was not a good player only spamming Jani and somehow he won. Some games later i beat #700 ranked players but I somehow lost to this #1300 guy [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 20 Jan 2022 06:10 AM PST Every single native civ needs a serious buff, right now. I can't beleive nobodies said this before. No cannons, so you can't really play lategame, no siege so you also can't rush and finish them early. No real firepower to speak of, every single native archer type unit doesn't really counter what its meant too. Overall they are kind of an insulting interpretation of native cultures because they are so weak. Needs more firepower, more seige, and alot of buffs to be viable in competitive or even amateur play.
