| What to do with explorer early game? Posted: 24 Oct 2019 06:24 PM PDT Hey guys I played AO3 all the time as a kid but I was really bad and didn't really play strategically. I just liked the story and gameplay and played vs easy bits for fun. I just got back into it and I'm trying to actually play better. I'm just wondering what should I do with my explorer early in the game. Should I pursue treasures aggressively, somewhat or not at all? Focus solely on exploring? Bother their settlers? At first I thought he was just really good because his score was at 35 while I was still in low twenties a minute or two in. And I always record games against high ranking players—this guy was a captain. But when I started winning, petards began spawning from my TC, and he was playing Aztec. Maybe I had pissed him off by beating him in one match but it was quite ignorant for people like that to bash others online especially in a dying game.
