    Wars of Liberty

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 02:31 PM PST

I´ve just installed the wars of liberty mod, and I wanted to know: What is the strongest water related civilization? In the main game, I main Portugal, and I wanted to still use it, but maybe there is another civ. that was added or updated and does a lot better than Portugal, in terms of marine and fishing. Tanks in advance.

    Cats and Mice V1.3

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 09:20 PM PST

Way back when in the early days of the game, Cats and Mice V1.3 (by mephillip I believe) dominated the custom map scene. It was a masterpiece. Close enough to being balanced. Kinda fun to be the Cat. Great layout. Simple yet strategically complex. Future cats and mice map makers couldn't resist adding secret upgrades for the mice or ridiculous build and walk speeds. They were phonies. Phonies I tell ya.

I would like to fire up that version of Cats and Mice again, however after scouring the internet it seems it has disappeared. A few years ago I was able to download it off Age of Empires Heaven but the download link isn't there anymore only. Anyone here happen to have it on their computer and wetransfer it for me?

Where is the game data stored on linux ?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 09:33 PM PST

I've installed the game with Proton and it runs great, even faster than native, however I can't seem to find my game data like home cities and screenshots. I do have folders in ~/Documents/MyGames/Age of Empires 3 but they are all empty.
Surely this data must be somewhere since my home cities aren't reset each time I launch the game.
I couldnt find them in the game files (i mean the ones with the binaries and everything) either.

Did anybody have the same problem ?

Just started a reddit clan in game! Invites are open to all, just PM me your username

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 07:15 PM PST

The clan is geared towards being a great place that brings people together to enjoy the game more. As it gains activity we will be organizing more and more in-game events & competitions for us all to enjoy. The main rule is that every clan member treats each other with respect, and there is no tolerance for any hate speech. Please feel free to come join the fun!

Also am looking for a few people interested in helping to run the clan and help organize in-game events & competitions, thanks in advance

    Unit types confusion

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 07:05 AM PST

So I just started playing again after years and I noticed that units have bonus damage versus certain types of others. But the thing is I dont know which is which. Im lvling up my japan only and I only know that naginatas are heavy base on their descriptions. It says that yumis have bonus vs heavy infantry but I dont know which units arr heavy which are light. Are ashigarus heavy? If so do yumis win over ashigarus? Cause they have bonus damage vs many units. Only thing that ashigarus are better are hp and building damage right? My home cty is only lvl 30 so i have no mechanics very sorry!

    Russia team strategy?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 05:25 AM PST

So I've kinda got a 1v1 strategy down with a simple rush. But it's a continuous fight and you keep putting pressure till you win. Works really well 1v1 because you end up having the Eco eventually win out.

I tried it in team games but the rush fails if others come to help and then my Eco is so fucked I end up losing.

So any idea how to use Russia properly in a team?
